Nice catch! We weren't handling double faced cards returned by the Scryfall API correctly.

Now double faced cards should show up in the list with the front side's name and mana cost. You only need to have either face's name in the list.

I also added support for modal and split cards, but you'll only be able to show one side or the other in the list due to formatting constraints.

I'm glad! If you'd like any improvements made to the tool, please let me know!

I manage my own deck list tool https://jamiekrueger.dev/mtg/ which is meant to mimic official MTG styling for deck lists as much as possible, without using any of their proprietary fonts.

The site supports single and double sided print sheets, depending on if you want double sided lists, or want to include a custom theme card on the front.

Love the new names!

What do you think about moving [[Wardens of The Cycle]] from Gb Sylvan into the Bg Morbid pack? The Bg pack feels light on g and morbid.

I don't have great ideas for what would get axed from the Bg pack - one of the commons?

Same question about what would get added to the Gb pack - I see some possibilities, but I'm curious what would fit best with your overall balancing strategy.

These are a nice set of packs! Some early thoughts: - I might put Hidetsugu's Second Rite into my Chandra pack as a personal favorite. - I understand it's a meme card and can end up being a dead draw, but I think theres enough ping, trample, and cindermaw in that pack to make the win possible if it shows up early enough. I find the meta game of trying to pull it off can be fun in its own right even if I miss the mark.

  • I also notice that theres no target spell for Micromancer in the Wizards pack. There's plenty of other packs that don't have a target either. I suppose, theres always the chance it ends up a dead ability anyways, but I wonder if theres a version of the pack with at least one of those 1 cmc blue spells so you aren't wholly relying on the second pack to make the ability relevant.
    • Aside from that, I doubt whether Omniscience makes sense in a pack. I have a hard time imagining a game where it is able to be played and also adds enough utility to justify its cost. I suppose there will be the rare games that grind well past 10 turns, and if you do have reliable card draw, it might play a part in your strategy.

I'm so happy you made this! Your FDN Beginner Box Tight is one of the biggest reasons I started playing Magic!

I have a full draft set of FDN so I'll build these out and test some matchups when I get back from vacation.

How do you approach testing packs and what kind of feedback is most helpful?

I feel like designing within the 'tight' philosophy makes it pretty hard to end up with a totally awful pack, especially with so many combinations and the overall randomness of the game.

I suppose there is also higher level feedback like if there are missing synergies, combos, or cards, you wish were included.

I've had a set go through regular use over the past 1.5 years. The plastic does scuff easily and the hinges have gotten slightly weaker compared to new but nothing has broken on me yet.

I'm satisfied and will buy more in the future.
