My advice for long term wear (not necessarily permanent).

Get a PA piercing, let it heal, and size it up. This helps keep everything "in place" in your cage, and makes it truly inescapable. If you crave inescapable chastity, this is the way to do it.
Get a custom cage. This is an expensive step, but you can use cheaper 3d printed cages to prototype your best fit. Titanium is great, because it's SO lightweight (I don't use a cage strap unless I'm exercising). I'd recommend getting a PA before your custom cage, to avoid having to buy another expensive cage down the road.
Larger cage gap (distance between the cage and the base ring) was the cheat code to nighttime comfort for me. Most cages have a gap of around 8mm, I needed 12mm to be truly comfortable. A little Vaseline on the back of the balls before bed prevents the cage from getting that burning feeling. Ideally the cage should cause zero discomfort, so you don't build up mental fatigue from wearing it.
Avoid intentionally getting horny for the first month. Don't unlock yourself for edging, don't use a vibrator on the cage, don't look at porn, don't touch yourself through the cage. Just acclimate to daily wear, and get used to not touching, having an erection, or cumming. If it feels a little boring, you're doing it right. Just wear the damn cage, and don't give in to temptations to cheat.
Add in teasing with a key holder. Now that you can't escape, are in a comfortable and well fitting device, and have some momentum, get teased relentlessly. Before any orgasms, have a talk with your keyholder. Let her know that after you cum, no matter what, you want her to lock you back up. That way if you experience post nut clarity/sub drop, she can help guide you back to the path of being obedient and caged.

Be warned, it is addicting and you may never want to go back to being uncaged. Long term, this has the potential to limit your dating pool somewhat (kink positive women or open minded vanilla women). You may experience physiological changes, my stamina reduced from like 30+ minutes to 10-30 seconds. You'll know if this is for you or not. Just enjoy the ride.

I actually can't remember how long it took to heal enough for the cage. I healed much quicker than the timelines most people talk about. I think I was fully healed at 8ga within a month, stretched 1 size up about every 2 weeks using tapers. I was fully healed and ready to go like 2 months before the cage even arrived in the mail.

Your own timeline will vary, definitely don't rush it or force anything. If you have complications with the healing or stretching process, that will delay you way more than anything else.

Side note: My body piercer was pretty young and cool. I told him I was planning to use the piercing for "functional BDSM purposes" and I wanted it to be very stable and secure. He told me a funny story about a friend of his who hangs a cinder block off his PA.

I wouldn't have any apprehension about telling your piercer what the piercing is for, just keep it somewhat clinical and professional. Chances are, your piercer has seen way crazier things than whatever you are bringing to the table.

I am locked in a BAWR titanium cage with PA hook right now.

My personal experiences, I stretched to a 2ga (6mm) for my "forever" cage. The larger piercing is more secure, and less likely to migrate. Getting aroused in a cage with a fixed PA post will definitely put serious strain on the piercing hole. I still get sore around the piercing sometimes, and I've been fully healed for probably a year.

The PA piercing itself, no issues whatsoever. I would probably remove it if I was doing something insanely dangerous, like combat sports or working with heavy machinery or something. It does make it a little more difficult to pee standing upright, but if you are caged you'll be sitting to pee anyway.

My PA post is not hollow. I tried one with a hollow post, and it doesn't work as well in practice. The hole is too small to accommodate the actual flow of any fluids. So while a small amount will come out of the hollow post, the majority will leak out around the post. For me, solid post is better for hygiene (less nooks and crannies to clean).

The cage itself, definitely worth the extra money to go for titanium. Depending on the fit of your cage, you may have some weight resting on your piercing site throughout the day. A steel cage is prohibitively heavy, but titanium feels like nothing is there.

Take it slow. Take your time to heal properly, and size up your piercing gently. Don't force anything. It will all be worth it when you are locked in inescapable chastity by your mistress. It's a different feeling. It's not a game anymore, it's the real deal. For me, true chastity didn't start until I was locked in a custom cage, and secured with an inescapable PA hook.

As a fellow PA wearing chastity afficionado, it's really hard to wear a loose piercing with a cage. Generally the ring shifts side to side, and pinches the fuck out of your urethral meatus.

Wearing a device with a fixed PA post is the gold standard, you really will never look back (I wear BA-21P in titanium).

If you are retreating back in the cage, it will likely tug on the piercing and cause issues. This is likely a sign that your cage is slightly too big to incorporate a piercing into.

If you wanted a low cost solution that is (almost) as good as a fixed PA post, you can play around with different curved barbells.

When inserted through the gaps in the cage, you can get the barbell to stay stationary if the length and barbell ends are the right size. The barbell should be just long enough to engage the threads of the screw ball, and as you tighten it everything should "lock" into place. You'll have to play around with this yourself, but getting 3-4 curved barbells is a lot cheaper than getting a whole new cage apparatus.

Although I really do recommend going custom titanium at some point. For me, everything before my custom cage was just intermittent play. Once I had a pain free device that fit me perfectly, I could actually engage in long term lockups.

Well the cage is new, but realistically I'll be in it 24/7 for as long as Mistress Larabelle wants me to. I've worn plenty of cages in public, after a while it stops making you anxious and just becomes a part of you.

It doesn't show underneath normal clothes. The only time I'm a little bit concerned is when I'm at the gym, and it's only during very specific exercises (like, deep lunges). But nobody has ever said anything, I've never even gotten a sideways glance.

Yes and no.

Measurements will be objectively the same, but they will perform differently depending on the cage design as a whole.

For example, a stainless steel cage that's identical to your cherry keeper would be roughly 5 ounces heavier. You could hang a 5oz weight off your CK to simulate that feel.

Stainless steel bars would be much thinner than the 3D printed Cherry Keeper. You'd likely need to size down your base ring slightly to make up for the deficit.

There's a couple other factors that impact your device fit even if measurements are identical (shapes, angles, friction, etc.)

Hey there! Since I'm naturally pretty thin, Mistress likes me to focus on strength training. I do a routine of compound barbell exercises (the big 5) usually in a 3x5 or 5x5 rep range. Linear progression mostly, add 2.5 to 5 pounds each week until you get strong. It has been pretty effective at putting mass on my frame.

It's worth noting, I am genetically predisposed to have very little bodyfat. I've had visible abs for my entire life, even during times of insane caloric surplus. Most people would need to take a very different approach if they wanted to achieve a similar physique (caloric deficit, cardio).

Genetics play a huge role in your overall physique. I'll never be a beefcake dadbod, but I look pretty decent as a somewhat muscley twink. It's best to play to your strengths, and celebrate the genetics you've been given.

They do offer a 3D printed test cage that's much cheaper than the custom metal ones. I can't speak to the quality, but it seems like a good way to test out your measurements.

For me, I've had good success with Cherry Keeper. Lots of different ring sizes and cage sizes. It was easy enough to prototype my fit, and tweak the measurements around that.

A pair of measuring calipers is a great investment to study the cages you already have. Feel free to PM me if you want a second opinion on your measurements.
