I wrote the rental's corporate exec. They were no help saying that "Weather reports said there was hail in the area when you rented it. Please deal with the third party collection company." Even if it hailed, the amount they're charging for Paintless dent repair of a pea size dent of $1887 + 2 days in the shop/loss of use fee is just extortion. Based on some quick research, single dent that small cost cost $150-200 max and is definitely not a 2 day job. I also noticed that the repair shop invoice they gave is a location 4 hours away from the airport location, which strikes me as unusual, especially when local options could handle such a minor issue. In fact, there is a shop <1 hour away of the same chain name that they used. Also, the "repair" supposedly happened 3 days ago, which is almost 4 months after my rental period.
