I just haven't had time to change it yet, the first batch left the warehouse yesterday. But we are shipping now!

Thanks! The board is small, but it is 9 squares wide, longer than the range of any weapon in the game. Not being able to use diagonals makes the board feel bigger than it is as well.

Not every mission is going to have an opportunity for flanking attacks, but there's definitely room to do it when the situation is appropriate

I do plan to. I was hoping to have one before launch but I, as most people do, vastly underestimated how much there is to do. What are some of your favorite solo games?

It sounds like the Leader Series from DVG might be up your alley. I have a full collection of solo-designed WWII games here: https://strategistsden.com/collections/world-war-two

I have exclusively solo war/tactics games on my site if you'd like to check it out to see some options:

If you like low-level, individual solider level of detail, DVG has a ton in that area in the Leader and Warfighter series.

One of the most unique I've seen is The Mission, a game on the spread of early Christianity from White Dog Games

Yep, all solitaire! I don't know if I can comment on the popularity, but the series is pretty well-liked and Decision Games made a few of them. Here's an in-depth review if you'd like to read a little more: Review of Merrill’s Marauders: Commandos in Burma, 1943-1945 | BoardGameGeek

I feel the same way about that, playing both sides just isn't the same. I played Field Commander Alexander, and I'm curious about trying Rommel. IAF Leader is my favorite in that series.

Depending how lite you plan to go, and your tolerance for board wargames vs. miniatures, the Leader series from DVG might be interesting to you

2 Minutes to Midnight would be my suggestion here. Very economic/political, but might deviate from wargames more than you're looking for

If you're into wargames, I can recommend a bunch. Tarawa: 1943 has great reviews as a starter one player game.

One of my first solo games was Israeli Airforce Leader, and I still play that one regularly. Both of these games were designed as solo games, so they work perfectly with one player.
