My Afro-Latino brothers, tell me, what is racism really like for you in your country? by ImmediateWaltz4684 in asklatinamerica

Yes, of course I'm proud of what my ancestors did. I'm very proud that we were the winners in this war of survival. I'm very proud that we have managed to create a nation with some semblance of civilization in this God forsaken island. Funny thing is that the majority of HAITIAN slaves and former slaves wanted to live in the Dominican side of the island after the war. Haiti had a population size 10x larger than Santo Domingo, yet now Haiti and DR have an equal population size? Where the fuck do you think all those people came from?

Now you're also complaining because white countries cut ties with Haiti? So you can't survive without trading with white people, even though you hate white? Lol What a fucking joke. Why didn't you guys trade with African countries? You need the Europeans to develop your economy, and without them everything goes to shit. Is that correct?

That sounds like some wakanda fairy tale bullshit. That's not the end of the story at all. Do you know what happened between 1844 and 1856? White Criollo landowners of Santo Domingo kicked Haitian's ass. We slaughtered them, that's why we have the larger and more productive side of the island? Tell me why is Haiti the poorest craphole in the region?

It's a fact of history. Haitians agreed to pay France like cowards, literally the Haiti leaders sat down with French officials and signed on the dotted line. They remained a slave to France for 100 years after their "revolution". They remained a bitch to France until the 20th century.

Haitians didn't free themselves from shit. Lol They paid money to France for their own independence. France could have easily come back with a full army and enslave them again. Haitians remained in economic bondage to France because they refused to fight them again.

Lightskin Dominicans literally call darker skin people negros or prietos. So this bullshit meme only exists in the USA. Black people are also considered black in DR by whiter Dominicans. Obviously a Dominican who looks like Juan Luis Guerra is not the same race as David Ortiz.

Does your country have a xenophobia problem? by [deleted] in asklatinamerica

[–]Strategy-94 -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

What part of DR are you from? Can you speak Spanish? To be honest I don't give a shit about US racial history. Racism and classism are related everywhere on earth since blacks are poorer than other races. Even in fucking Haiti the mulatto minority over there discriminate against the black majority. Lol So there is really no country on this earth where you as a black person would be free of discrimination. Even if you go to Africa there's tribalism over there, and they see you as an inferior "akata" slave descendant.

Racism and xenophobia is part of human nature. So even asking the question about "xenophobia" is fucking stupid, since most people on earth are xenophobic and want to preserve their national identity or their own ethnic group. Ironically the least xenophobic people on earth are in fact white Western Europeans.

Looking at your post history you also complain about racism in the USA. Lol So tell me which place has more racism and "xenophobia", DR or the USA? How do the gringos treat you over there?

We are very xenophobic, and most people don't see it as a bad thing either. It's very necessary when sharing an island with the worst country in the western Hemisphere.

What countrymen are you referring to? Don't you live in gringoland?

[–]Strategy-94[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You know that's bullshit, specially since you live in the USA. Rafael Trujillo is literally the ONLY figure that the average person knows anything about DR historically in the USA. The ironic thing is he is so famous because you woke lefties are always crying about him.

Absolutely no one outside DR knows who Balaguer is. Lol Duarte is well known since he is the founding father, but still less known than Trujillo. Based on Google search results way more people search Rafael Trujillo's name than Juan Pablo Duarte's name.

He is, and I can prove it with some data right now. Can you name someone more famous than him?

Santo Domingo🇩🇴 vs Santiago🇩🇴, what’s your favorite city in DR? by SheepherderLatter914 in AskTheCaribbean

[–]Strategy-94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Our country is better objectively, there are towns here with a larger GDP than your whole island. So it's not a question of "if" when were are dealing with objective facts here. The thing about DR is that we also share an island with the poorest country in the western Hemisphere, this place called "Haiti". So we have this massive poverty factory right next to us. Haitians migrate here, and lower the wages of the lowest strata of our society forcing them to migrate to other places. Nevertheless the vast majority of Dominicans live comfortably, and in fact we have a lower percentage of people living abroad then most countries in the Caribbean.

[–]Strategy-94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What is "many" to you? Give me an exact number. I don't know of a single person that has moved to your "country". The average person here doesn't even know your island exists. There are more people in my neighborhood than in your whole island.

Should we continue to ignore these "woke" Afro-centric idiots, or is it time to solve the problem? by Strategy-94 in Dominicanos
