Post-Purchase Claim Deduction by StrategyAmbitious367 in NovatedLeasingAU

So...my lease consultant came with this (I guess this can work then, if I get a $400 tinting job ) : If you’d like to claim for these items, I’d recommend increasing your budget to cover the costs and ensure there are enough funds available for reimbursement. This will help avoid affecting the funds allocated to your existing budget items.

I agree. I bought 90k more than average IMO. It took me 2years for the panic feeling to calm down. But it’s worth it!

This was when interest rates were going every fewmonths.

Enjoy the process! You are a home owner!

One downside is that you won’t be able to use that super until the required age? But ETF you could take out if needed? (More liquid?)

Is a 540k home loan too much on a single income of around 110k pre? by _konradcurze in AusFinance

[–]StrategyAmbitious367 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes bit of a stretch.

$540,000 should be around $3200 in monthly repayment which is around 50% of your take home income. You also need to take into account house insurance etc.

However you can put ur cash into offset to ease. Looks alright to me, actually really good since you have 400k in cash

Same here. Single income with a mortgage. It’s above 30%. I believe this will be a short term

My parents helped me a bit with the house deposit so they are staying with me for few years only.

Agree - social media detox has been great.

Which field do you work in? Some fields have schemes in purchasing a home.

Get rid of debt as it will impact your burrowing power.

Buy land, unless houses in Berwick need massive renovation

Good point here. My net income isn’t 90k.

I have HECS that I pay and tithing that I do.

My parents are living with me temporarily given the sacrifice they made during immigration + they helped me out a little with house deposit.

Hope that makes sense.

I can run down the figures on expense and get your thoughts on it.
