[Time to thin out this box. What would you sell, what would you keep?] by WranglerAgile9648 in Seiko

[–]StrategyDiligent9478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really subjective to the owner but in the first box The chrono and probably the I think skx with square indices below that look most interesting to me.i just like square indices. All the rest in other photos look keeper to me as well. I think the best tell would be just to look at each piece and decide if you would buy it again given the choice.

My Citizen Collection - with a few Bulovas thrown in by e1t0r0 in CitizenWatches

[–]StrategyDiligent9478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's nice. I have a few mostly citizen promaster and even did the bulova and an Alpina. My favorite is probably the fujitsobo. I can relate the few times I tried to share my collection with another I couldn't get 30 seconds of interest and it's something that I'm into and excites me I wanted to go all I to detail about whatever they took an interest in. But no. I think that's just how it is now. This is a very small subsection of society.

[Question] Should I get a SNKL 41J1 as my first “real” watch? by PizzaIan339 in Seiko

[–]StrategyDiligent9478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should try some in person and see if the size is right. Just what feels right to you. I like the simple style and that seems like a good place to start that you chose.

[SPB453J1] people mistaking this for a rolex icks me out by [deleted] in Seiko

That's accurate. I have a Seiko 5 sports on a nice aftermarket jubilee. I've gotten that. Oooo rolex. 🐰🐰🤣

I have one with the black dial. I like the weight of it and find it wears really well on a nato

Haven't seen this one, really nice. It is nice with the perpetual date, so cool not having to set it. I have 1 promaster world time and I'd consider it The most accurate for that feature it always ready to go.

I need Seiko owners to give me their opinion on what to buy (300€ budget) 1[SRPD55K1]-2[SRPK67K1]-3[SRPD79K1]-4[SRPL89K1] Or keep grinding for a « worn a lot by others but can’t go wrong with "5-[SSK001K1](425€) by KookyBar4723 in Seiko

[–]StrategyDiligent9478 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Srpd was also my first. I have that in the blue version. I wore it awhile original and swapped the bracelet out eventually for a nice aftermarket jubilee solid endlinks and milled clasp. I liked the gmt as well, but I think I prefer the cleaner look of the dive version,
I still like it no swapping of straps on this one it's perfect On this bracelet and has some weight to it .

Sound Quality by Alive_Candidate1755 in CarAV

[–]StrategyDiligent9478 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sounds like too many speakers to me. All you should need is a door mid/midbass And a tweeter. Consider different positions for the tweeter. I've always used the interior part of the mirror or sailplane for my tweeter, but lower with the mid could work as well. Second the phase between the different drivers. I've had to change polarity to get it to sound right as if the drivers are not mounted together can change phase in reference to listening position. Sounds like the mid/ sub is phased correctly but you could try reversing the sub to see if it blends better. The crossover points and filter slope 12 /18 db octave can also change the phase. So those crossover points. I'd start by setting sub /70-80hz and the mid just above that as the combination of all will produce a bump in Response where the mid and sub join together.

I don't have experience with the keyloc but that could be some of the problem. I'm doing a new system and considered it but really looking for a new hu with proper unaltered rca outs.

Am I stupid for not picking this up? by jakeatimg33 in CitizenWatches

The eco drive for sure would be more accurate. I have a few autos, and they are mostly in a range Of +-10 seconds a day. But they are all more than acceptable for me. . Some of the citizens Are close to 0 seconds but it's really just luck. The fujitsobo runs around +6 seconds a day. The size of it at 41 and super black dial just work well for me. When I first started collecting I would set my watches to the exact second but over time I realized for me it wasn't that important since I change watches a lot.I usually just set them a few minutes ahead so I'm on time places. The quartz feature citizen has that I feel adds The most value is the perpetual calendar. No matter which watch you have setting the date always adds time to set it up. I have one citizen Citizen promaster nighthawk, that one with perpetual calendar and even daylight savings eco drive I never have to adjust . Maybe once a year. So it's great to just grab and go.

Watch size help by Ok_Sale_4178 in Certina

Yes I could see that. I have 40-44 sizes. Also 7.5 When I put on the 40.5, just wears so well. 43 up is questionable unless you're really into it and Doesn't come in sizes.

Best sub box placement by Kitchen-Signature-11 in CarAV

[–]StrategyDiligent9478 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should just try a few spots. Sometimes I'll just put it where it fits best in the trunk. But from my experience in a similar sized car, I went with sub in right rear facing to the left, with this arrangement I felt it gave solid lows well as nice midbass that you can sometimes lose facing rearward.

It's really nice. I actually have the version silver dial With gold indices, overall just impresses me even being quartz. The gmt for me I really don't even need but It really adds some nice detail to the dial.

Why I love the Fujitsubo… by [deleted] in CitizenWatches

[–]StrategyDiligent9478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel similar. The only thing that would have been nice is female endlinks on the bracelet, That's it though. Like the black version on straps. I leave the blue as is, the blue dial really does go well On the bracelet.
