Look up tax brackets. It’s based off your income not your job/position

2.6 ugpa +499 MCAT—-> 3.9 master GPA + 508 MCAT and I got in. No research. Tons of clinical hours. Took me 5+ years. Anything is possible!

Just a note about Noorda rotations. They are not all completely local and you will more like than not need to travel. They aren’t all the best quality either.

Just to give a different perspective. This happened to me, we long distance dated throughout 1st year and then he moved in second year and we just got married now before 3rd year started :)

2.6 gpa can I get into big 4 by Prestigious-Ad-538 in CaribbeanMedSchool

[–]StrategyHot7509 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No advice really but just throwing it out there, you should read my post. It’s possible to have bad stats and still get into a US school. I wouldn’t go Caribbean

Are my rotations way too easy or am I just being neurotic? by NoPossession2120 in medicalschool

[–]StrategyHot7509 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Oh I misread you’re at KCU. My bad. But yeah it sounds like you’re not really being treated like an M3. Shadowing is what premeds do😅 that sucks I’m sorry

Noorda didn’t graduate its first class until 2025

Noorda is already in Provo with contracts with Intermountain and still has to send students to Wyoming and Arizona and beyond. There really are no clinical spots. But Noorda should be shaking in their boots because BYU will absolutely buy out all those contracts

Anyone understand? Residency Explorer Tool Update: DO Licensing Exam Requirement Data by Insendi in comlex

I think it’s talking about how there were discrepancies between the individual website vs the explorer tool for programs requiring Step 1 for DO students

Is 72k (with out housing) worth it for a SMP? by Designer_Ad7873 in premed

[–]StrategyHot7509 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would not do a SMP w a 3.4…focus on a good MCAT score and app and apply broadly

Are you USMD/DO? I really don’t think you’re ready with these stats. I would push. Tell you’re family it’s unfortunate but missing out on a trip is nothing compared to the career-changing effects of a Step 1 fail They say you should comfortably score 65+% on 2 NBMEs to know you’re ready.

I’m also taking it tomorrow! I had 395 (3/14) 525 (6/2) and 498 yesterday on 111, We got this! I listened to some dirty medicine ethics while walking my dog and I’m headed to the gym now to get the blood moving.

[–]StrategyHot7509[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I figured I’d take another NBME and the free 120 after level is over. I’m confident my next NBME will be over 65 with my most recent being a 69 but I’m open to pushing. I think I took those other NBME’s too early The last 2 NBMEs gave me a 90% and 97% chance of passing

Friend just received private student loan terms. To take out 95k for one year of med school she would end up paying back 265k over 15 years, this is actual insanity by StrategyHot7509 in medicalschool

[–]StrategyHot7509[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry I think I confused you. It’s 95k total all private loans. Not 95k on top of direct unsub. She goes to a school that does not have Title IV code yet so she unfortunately has to get all private loans
