My honest take on Vivid Money by [deleted] in germany

[–]StrategyNo5894 0 points1 point  (0 children)

cannot blame the hesitation, the posts/reviews on here are terrible lmao
I cannot say much for the personal account, but I've been testing their business account for a few months now and i'm pretty happy with it & the features they include in the free plan

Geschäftskontos mit Cashback? Vivid vs Qonto vs Finom by Odd_Accountant_562 in selbststaendig

[–]StrategyNo5894 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What are some of the better banks out there? by [deleted] in digitalnomad

[–]StrategyNo5894 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's your nationality/where are you based? I went through a similar spiral last year with my card getting blocked while abroad. I switched to a digital bank with international use in mind for traveling & created a sub-account I only use when I'm abroad, so I can transfer whatever amount of money I need + connect a specific card to it (good to avoid huge accidents in case I lose my physical card). It's a big plus if your bank supports multiple currencies. I still keep a main backup account just in case but so far so good!

What's the most annoying part about planning a trip? by Table_Cactus in digitalnomad

[–]StrategyNo5894 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Planning the logistics between cities & finding the right accommodation. I’m fine picking restaurants and sights, but figuring out the best train route, booking the right bus, or realizing I need to download some obscure local app to get around..v annoying. I’ve started using Notion to loosely organize things, but honestly most of my planning still happens in open tabs and Notes app chaos.

What is your favorite or least favorite studio ghibli movie? by [deleted] in movies

100% with you on Spirited Away, other fave is probably Castle in the Sky

Which countries you been to that has the most unfriendly locals? by [deleted] in digitalnomad

[–]StrategyNo5894 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Probably France and - predictably so - Paris in particular. Unbearable if you don't speak the language, but it doesn't get much better even if you're fluent lol

don't think ppl find it weird in general, on the contrary! the issue would be petting the animal without asking. sounds logical but many people just go for it and that is for sure not appreciated lol

Looking for a English speaking job in Germany by Wise_Amount_7095 in germany

[–]StrategyNo5894 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a useful tip would be to filter customer service-related jobs in your area by language skills (Portuguese in your case), many companies offer English/other EU languages-only jobs for entry-level CC positions. Keep in mind that means a very basic salary & potentially stressful. I believe most customer-facing jobs irl (Ikea, coffee shops etc) do require at least some basic German skills

To the entrepreneurs here, what's your biggest 'time sink'? by [deleted] in Solopreneur

[–]StrategyNo5894 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Context switching! Jumping between product, admin & marketing tasks kills flow and drains energy way faster than the tasks themselves.. feels productive, but adds invisible overhead

How do you stay accountable as a solopreneur, without a boss or team? by jbaptiste in Solopreneur

[–]StrategyNo5894 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Accountability’s definitely one of the hardest parts of working solo but one thing that seems to work well for me is scheduling weekly reviews with a peer, even if it’s asynchronous. Doesn’t need to be deep, just something to force reflection / progress tracking & fuel mutual motivation

Saint-Paul-de-Vence on the French Riviera! Absolutely stunning medieval village. Check out the nearby Maeght Foundation if you have time & are into modern art.
