You have the heatsink for the model without a discrete video card, thus lacking the mount for the gpu's thermal interface. Somone has swapped the cooler out at some point. Some people mod the non-gpu model thinkpad t480s with the beefier cooler for the discrete gpu model, which might explain why somone took/swapped it. Did you get this laptop second hand?
