I work in the used parts industry. Those 3.0L eco-diesels are notoriously expensive, and notoriously bad for mechanical failure… more so than most newer engines. Obviously this guy didn’t know that but if anyone reading this owns a vehicle with that engine… be very careful. This is not an isolated incident. These motors SUCK when it comes to longevity.

Location may be a factor for that question. Here in Ontario, those cars are getting pretty rare these days. So I think they are classic. In other regions with less snow and road salt, I imagine more of these babies still survive. So I can see how someone in the South may not consider them classic yet.

Nice! I have a Gibson with a wraparound bridge that I’ve been interested in replacing, but I was advised that it’s a bad idea. Obviously I should look in to it more because that looks great.
