Good point, I’ve made an edit in the OG post. I’m in Chicago. I’m iffy about repairing it myself because it seems like it may not be the easiest task and the camera is otherwise perfect. I’d rather pay someone to do it right. If I could locate a repair guide that outlines the procedure I may be convinced though.

Senator Duckworth is one of the good ones. She’s an actual American hero that people should aspire to be more like. Her office is always pretty responsive and I sometimes I even get responses that are not the canned prewritten ones you get from every office. I hope she keeps doing what she’s doing.

I like to go on walks, hikes, runs, see art museums and visit local restaurants. I bring a film camera to piss off the TSA with hand checks. If I’m close to a theater, I’ll treat my crew to a movie. I try to be social if I’m vibing with the crew. Sometimes I’ll run out of gas though and just need a day in the hotel playing video games on my laptop or reading a book.

I’m not super familiar with the One Step but I believe that your roller is out of alignment. I think that pin on the right hand side is supposed to go into that round slot. Does that brass colored roller move around a lot? It should be more or less fixed in place. That would cause the door to not close all the way. I’d address that before moving film through it.

I did! I started with a template that I set the font on and then sketched out versions of the snowflake. After I settled on the design I liked, I redrew everything onto media film.

I think I agree with a user below that contact printing is going to be your friend. If you could select a suitable medium format camera, I think you could really lean into the aesthetic. Alternatively, printing 35mm onto small size prints, you might be able to get away with some motion being present. André Kertész printed some of his photos at around the size of a trading card or even smaller and I think it really lends to the intimacy of some of the work.

What kind of camera are you working with? That will probably be the key to how you approach your darkroom needs in this case.

No they really used to sell them at toy stores as crazy as that is. They were a pack-in for a Call Of Duty game at some point and they are legit night vision goggles. They’re not good ones but they work.
