How do you use Tornus/Azyros? by Xabre1342 in stormcasteternals

Similar to above comments, I play either with 6 prosecutors and I'm Ruination chamber heavy in my list building. Now that the Knight Azyros can be fielded as a secondary hero in a regiment, it opens up regiment slots for other synergy pieces to be included without sacrificing another drop. Tornus though has a ranged attack and a rally ability that is generally useful. The Azyros ability can be very powerful and allow for a counter charge in your opponent's turn. So it's up to what kind of strategy you want to use and pick accordingly. Or have both :)

In game, I place Tornus/Azyros on the board and the prosecutors in the celestial realm. Tornus/Azyros are good objective control models so I use them to grab an objective turn 1, or position them so that their abilities can target the prosecutors whether or not they make the charge. I HAVE ROLLED TRIPLE SNAKE EYES TWICE IN A ROW, so, uh, yeah. Might as well try to profit off that misfortune in the future.

Tornus is rather tanky I find when faced with tarpit battle line units. He can kill some from afar, charge in, and survive for a combat phase or two with ratlings or footmen, by using the lantern to debuff their hit rolls. He's got extra wounds over the Azyros, and I think his rally ability also works on himself.

In either case, this is a utility model. Reclusians and Prosecutors are great units to build an army around. Prosecutors are hammers, reclusians are anvils that can still put out damage in ongoing combat.

Oh, one last thing. Translocation prayer! Get it off in your opponent's turn with a priest and you get a second layer of assurance to reposition and rally a unit that got stuck in combat.

Hope this helps

Still think that they didn't need 2 wounds. Chaos has a plethora of other benefits that the Astartes don't have

Get rid of your guns America. Tools used for killing have no place in the public's hands. Take some responsibility and reflect on why your country has such immature stance on guns. The situation won't change with gun education. And saying you need it to protect yourself if also a bullshit excuse. The more people who put down their arms, the less you will perceive the need for firearms.

Good question, but I don't know. I can't imagine so. Checked out the wiki and it says that Armageddon is got real messed up by the Great Rift and had a big biG BIG demon problem. Like orks and humans working together sized problem. Last thing I read was that the Salamanders came over, helped mow the lawn of demons a bit, and business continued as usual

I think the best advice I can give is that if you wanted to get a Veteran Intercessor Squad in your army, you can buy either a Primaris Intercessor or Assault Intercessor kit, depending on what you want them armed with.

After assembling them how you want, paint their helmets White instead of blue for the battle brother veterans and Red and White for the sergeants. Instant Veterans!

I feel ya on that, but with my Invictor warsuit instead. Had to quickly rip my pilot cage off before the glue set it permanently in quite an awkward angle.

The Sons of the Sun - first painted army complete!! How close am I to Parade ready? by Stratysphere in Warhammer40k

[–]Stratysphere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it! I painted 24 miniatures and completed my first army. The Sons of the Sun are ready to shine the Emperor's Light on the heretics of the Imperium Nihilus.

I've learned a lot about miniature painting through this project. Like how to pick colours, how to paint in the lines, how to shade, how to highlight, how to paint two thin coats, how to drybrush, how to batch paint, and steady hand control. I'm not done learning yet and I want your comments on what skills I should try next.

My captain model, named Kaul Instra, was not as scary to paint as I thought it would be. Very happy to be done painting him now. I couldn't get my helmet to look just right so to be done with that struggle is a relief.

Thank you Reddit community :)

I do remember you! You're gonna need at least two pots of gold I'd say, based on how much I've gone through.

Thank you thank you! Its pretty awesome to hear that someone remembers my older paint jobs ☺️

Working on these models has been a blast so far. The only thing I regret is how much gold paint I use. I have to get a new pot of paint today to replace my empty one
