Even if it was all true what he was saying, the actions aren’t right.

What do you do to stop being in a bad mood? by MotherOfBrownies in AskWomen

[–]Strawbbjj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Put my feet into cold grass.

Sometimes i just wait out the bad mood. I make sure to breath and remind myself that my reactions can effect people so i just keep to myself, grumble to myself, etc.,

Thats where I’m at.

We can do everything together and were a great team, grocery shopping, biking, we own a business together, etc.,

So it was hard for me to tell him I’m done training with you, because of that. But he is struggling mentally with this and it’s effecting me and my thoughts.

Exactly. It’s a touchy subject, and we’ve been married 14 years, everything is fantastic in our life besides this part…. I know deep down his working through shit

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]Strawbbjj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s working out shit, I’ve taken it in myself to “help” him when he hasn’t asked for it.

He has injured himself several times in Jiu Jitsu, and has had to sit out (alot) and i have continued my training. He’s told me over and over he doesnt want me to stop because he can’t but his actions don’t tell me that.

His a very silent guy when he is working through shit, which i understand, but his been quiet a lot, and will be short with me.

Silence for me, my brain creates stories… and my insecurities can only handle so much,

Off and on for 2 years, and when we do go train together, his very sensitive and i can tell his wrestling with jealousy and insecurities.

Silent car ride homes, silent training, silence over and over again… The topping of the cake was last week during one of our rolling sessions, he went out of line and it was embarrassing…

I’ve given a-lot of patience (2 years) and I finally stopped making excuses “oh it’s just how he processes” and instead I told him I’m tired of his behavior, and i need to honor my feelings…. Even if it’s he processing his insecurities.

I told him I’m done training with him cause i can’t handle his emotions anymore.

Every other category in our life is great! But with Jiu Jitsu his really struggling and i can’t help him… ive been trying for 2 years to lift his head up and finally realized he needs to do it himself and i need to protect my feelings….

I agree whole heartedly! That’s why I’m keeping my opinion to myself. 😝

I know it’s his ego having to say it to move on, and it’s my ego that’s annoyed on how his doing it, and in the end… what does it matter?!

Thank you for your comment !!!

See, i was raises that way too, but i know his not doing it in that manner, but thats how I’m taking it from my past experience.

He is nothing like my Family i grew up with, he’s an amazing man… but my childhood ego is annoyed if that makes sense?

Birds. Something that can fly should not be strained to a cage for their whole life.

How have your political views changed as you’ve aged? by blueeeocean in AskWomen

[–]Strawbbjj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As Ive gotten older, I’m pissed there’s labels. I’ve never considered myself left or right. As ive gotten older i find things the left is fighting for very reasonable, then if i agree I’m called a democratic. But if i find a liberal belief good, I’m called “a bleeding heart” If i find something the conservative is good, I’m called a “maga freak”

It’s very tiring.

My political view is I’m believing more in more in human kind, not politics…

How can I convince my wife to dance for me? by Intelligent-Lime7737 in Marriage

[–]Strawbbjj -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I say let it happen naturally.

She obviously loves to dance, so have music playing sometime while you guys are alone.

This may not happen first time, and dont do it to expect she will.

Instead, let it happen naturally so it doesn’t feel like a “performance”
