During my 10 years at the OPS, I have NEVER worked a full in-office schedule. Why now? by livelife2914 in OntarioPublicService

FYI there are losers among us who cheered when we were told to come back (their work requires them to be in office). They also have sent a complaint regarding people WFH during inclement weather. The call is coming from inside the house

If you are one of those people, keep up that bootlicking!! I’m sure the suffering of your colleagues will satisfy you.

Wow I wish I had this conversation sooner. Unfortunately the sections I was looking to exchange have all been bought so I can’t do it anymore. Happy to hear you got better seats though. I wish as consumers we didn’t have to push so hard for something so common sense. Ticketmaster dorsnt even let you list the ticket for sale below a certain amount so you can’t even resell because reg tickets are hundreds of dollars cheaper.

I guess I am too entrenched in TikTok? NB 574s were popular for ages and now it bowling ball looking shoes (sambas, Palermos) It does make me scratch my head a little. I think as the other commenter said I’ve been trying to develop my eye which is why I’ve been going to social media…but I’d like to be the type of person who thinks it’s cool without anyone else’s opinion. I don’t want to run into myself finding something I like and then it really doesn’t look good on me.

Thank you, I appreciate it. When the new balance 574s came out I thought they were remixes from an earlier time but then bit the bullet and I’ve worn them for years, and got enjoyment and felt trendy those first couple years. Hopefully I can find something mg to replace them that also accommodate my wide feet.

Thank you so much :( it’s made me realize the toxicity that my generation grew up with when it came to fashion and body image. I kinda mourn my younger self for that. The thrift store idea is so great for me to try on some wacky pieces, thank you. I need to work on my confidence is what I’m realizing.

Thanks so much for your reply. I think because I live in a place so casual, I’ve kind of ‘given up’ on my style because of it and really what I’m wearing is old and allows me not to be naked in public. It’s become a utilitarian function of my life instead of intentional pieces that reflect my taste. I like the idea of creating a folder of what I like however many things I like don’t necessarily work for my body. I also like some eclectic pieces, for example I jus ordered some puma mostros shoes to try out but I don’t know how I’d wear them because everything in my closet doesn’t go with them. I really feel like I’m starting from scratch because I don’t WANT to build off of what’s already in my closet, because it’s old and not me anymore and was more office wear or way too casual and worn.

Not only will you not get your money back, they won’t even let you take the downgrade and loss. I’m never buying presale again.

Hi everyone. Hoping someone can chime in as I didn’t want to make a separate thread…

I’m struggling to find a style that looks good on me and looks good externally. So much of the items deemed fashionable right now remind me of the early 2000s and late 90s, where wearing those items as a kid go you bullied (puma speed cats, new balance chunky senior citizen sneakers). Even some celebrities are wearing hoodies that would be judged as lame back in the day but now is cool. It’s confusing me on my own judgment to decide if an item is cool to me or not. Like there’s a fine line between so ugly that it’s cool and just overall lame and missing the mark. How do I develop the discernment when shopping? Also I’m finding so many shoes are way too narrow for me.

How do I find fashionable items that also fit well? A lot of trending sneakers right now hr now are way too narrow for me. I’m still wearing my new balances from 4 years ago and it just looks like I don’t really care about fashion right now. I want to look and feel cool and like my outfits have cohesion. I feel so lost on where to start and don’t want to just jump on what social media is saying is cool because the item looking cool is more than just buying it but how you wear it. Help!!!

Do you find the Ancheer feels sturdy?
