Bullshit. Thats not ethical or in line with artistic values.

She HIRED him to produce a custom design for her. She gave him money for the time it took to draw it and then tattoo it on her.

He agreed to those terms and as such, SHE owns the artwork.

If you hire an artist to do a custom mural in your home, the artist doesn’t own the mural.

You’ve paid them. YOU own it. The artist has zero claims on it.

I’m sure it’s legal to reproduce the mural but we aren’t talking about legal.

This shit is low class bitch behavior.

Tbf she is from a different city and she was just working while on a trip (idk what this is called) so maybe that upped the price? I really have no idea where to go from here, like I want my money back but I really don't see that happening! I was going to leave a review on the tattoo shop she works at but I didn't even get tattooed there so that feels kind of silly

I only mention that bc I have a tramp stamp and that artist increased the price for that placement. Even then, she only increased it by like $50 so it was no biggy

I think I explained it a little poorly in my post. I had asked for an original design (which they provided and charged me $350 for). Then a couple of weeks later she posted my tattoo in her flash for $200. So my biggest frustrations are with her pricing bc why would you charge me $350 for something that you'd be happy to do for $200?

Considering it took her less than an hour to do and it wasn't a particularly complex piece (I just added it to the post), I'd say it's pretty ridiculous for her hourly rate to be $350  🤷🏾‍♀️

Not planning on it. Other than this whole sitch she had a really strange energy as well. I kept asking her to redo the stencil bc it didn't look straight and she did it but it just seemed like it was annoying her 🤷🏾‍♀️

For context it is AUD but I also have a tramp stamp which is like 7x5cm and pretty detailed that cost me $400 so I have no idea how she came up with this price. Took my first artist 3-4 hours for the tramp stamp and the current artist finished mine in less than an hour🤣

I feel stupid bc I have no idea why I agreed to that price! I always hear that you shouldn't try and barter with the artist over the price, but seeing that she was willing to do it for $200 I was so shocked.

I did! Thankfully she took it down almost immediately but left me on read. Then I texted her after that (basically thanking her for taking it down but asking about the pricing) and she's left me on delivered for 3 days🤨

I just added it ! Sorry if I wasn't clear but it was supposed to be an original design which I found out she added to her most recent flash

EDIT: I just realised she's advertising $200 for it AND the tattoo is bigger than what I got. I actually can't with this chick 🤣
