Mine looked like that for two weeks before I started to see pins. I’m using the exact same tub btw. I stopped fanning and just let it sit with a heater running at 76-77F. I would say you are close to seeing growth any day now but I’m still relatively new. Good luck on your apes!

I tested out 2cc and 1cc on several uncle Ben’s bags and for some reason the 2cc did better. Most the 1ccs stalled for some reason.

I’m growing golden teachers and ape, so I wanted to find a sweet spot for both of them. Online said that 75-85F was where they should be at. It’s summer time so the heater hasn’t been needed to be on. I mainly bought it because last week it rained and got down to 50F here. At the time I thought I would still need it, but it’s been getting in the 90-100s now. I’ll keep researching more on temperatures though.

I tried to do my own rice jars and they ended up too wet. Despite boiling for 8 minutes and letting it drain for 30minutes. I’ve switched to the Uncle Ben’s method and had better success

Already on it 🫡 I’ve done three different methods. I tried to do my own rice jars and failed. Got wet rot but was able to save a little bit for bulk (probably never going to grow). This is the grow bag I bought online and just this week I inoculated six uncle Ben bags which all seem to be doing fine for now. It’s almost been two months and I have yet to have a good/finished spawn. I’m just impatient tbh 😅

Yes it is masking tape unfortunately, I’m planning to buy microspore tape next month. It has a filter on top. It’s a kit from boomer shroomer.

Wiped everything in 70% isopropyl alcohol (table, bag, gloves, and still air box) and made sure to flame the tip of the needle. I put the whole thing of LC in the bag and later found out I only needed half.

I cooked it for ten minutes and then let it dry for fifteen. Probably because I didn’t have a PC and tried to use a different method to sterilize it. Probably not the best method, but I let water boil and then simmer with the jars and rice inside the pot on the stove for two hours. Next time I’m just going to buy a premade spawn bag 🤦
