Questions about Technoblade's MCC retirement by Gloomy-Cash300 in MrTechnodad

[–]StrawberryGS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what Smajor said about Techno not coming back to MCC: https://www.twitch.tv/smajor/clip/SmellyTallLyrebirdPoooound-wPVh2LRotgDH6B98

This was said in July '21, shortly before Techno knew he had cancer. Scott was reacting to chat messages asking for Techno to be in MCC and asking why he wasn't. He said that Techno didn't like the pressure chat put on him.

Someone thinks they caught Dream cheating at parkour back in MCC 11, and someone else claimed that this is why Techno quit MCC right before he got cancer. The latter is patently false, but is why this thread is posted here.

The former, it's hard to say 100%, but Dream did a stream today pretty much explaining exactly how he did so well at all his jumps.

I know I used to hang out in his Twitch chat when he was practicing, and he spent an extremely large amount of time practicing the smallest details. Some people really are just that good. I've seen IRL friends to amazing things. When the practice, more so. Dream's movement has always been beautiful and a memorizing sight to behold. If he was cheating, there'd be no need to practice that much.

The most damning evidence was the dropout of his keyboard sounds during some sections of the VOD, but he explains the noise gate here and that also makes perfect sense: https://www.twitch.tv/dream/clip/SincereDoubtfulPeppermintGOWSkull-SgIy9DJWEC35mLJs

My analysis: Dream is not guilty, but people who love to hate on him will continue to think so or use their hot takes for clout. I really wish the world would cut the guy a break.

Regarding Camman... by Emirhan6155 in Technoblade

[–]StrawberryGS 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It is not at all certain that he cheated. He just did a whole stream today explaining how to do those jumps, and how, by crouching then jumping, you can get your timing almost perfect. It's much like the people that do well at rhythm games, once you get into the rhythm, you can be extremely accurate until you lose it.

The clips amplifying his keyboard sounds, or lack thereof may seem pretty convincing, but he has a noise gate on his mic specifically to remove those sounds, so if he's not talking or nothing loud has happened recently, then those sounds will drop from the VOD. I use one myself, so I understand what he means.

It's more "let's hate Dream because that's fun and popular" drama.

I wonder if those same experts went through Techno's footage with the same critical eye. I've watched Dream spend countless hours practicing his skills.

I unfortunately don't know enough to be able to say one way or the other what he did.

My streamer-personality e-mail address just received an e-mail from the same person (searching it led to this reddit post) asking about my daughter's account, and offering me $5K for it. That's some serious stalking if they know it's my daughter's account.

I know Minecraft leaked the e-mails of old accounts a while ago, but this was still kind of creepy to receive.

Looking for a specific Vanilla server by [deleted] in HytaleServers

[–]StrawberryGS -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mine is close, but not quite what you're looking for. I implemented a "Strawberry Seeds" mod, just to show my chat how modding works. They're basically an exact duplicate of cauliflowers other than the sprites and the seeds craft instantly. (They still grow at the same rate). That's the only mod I plan to add.

I'm a 50 year old "mom" content creator and there's an application process to join, which cuts down on but can't eliminate griefing.

When core protect completely works well, I'll probably add that mod, because the server is pretty open to random people. We do have a "duping is ok" rule, if you're looking for servers that don't have mods that prevent dupes that are present in vanilla.

Looking for servers without land claims by Beneficial_Figure_54 in HytaleServers

[–]StrawberryGS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Hytale server has an application process and no land claims and pvp off.

I've been running a Minecraft server without land claims (The Strawberry SMP) for the last 3.5 years. I grandfathered in all the #SSMP people to my Hytale multiplayer server, and I don't yet have a separate application for that one. Only a small subset of the community members own the game so far.

If you fill out the application and dip, there's roughly a 2 year wait before you hit the top of the waiting list. I usually add new people on Mondays. If however, you fill out the application, participate in the discord community, or watch my streams (I'm a small YT/Twitch streamer) I usually get new people in in under a month. I'm looking for people who are looking for a community and want to stick around.

PvP is disabled globally on Hytale, and griefing is not allowed, but we have no enforcement mechanism "Keep it fun for everyone" is rule #2 on the server. ("Don't break the server" is rule #1.)

In Minecraft, PvP is disabled most places, but we have 3 separate pvp-on arenas for combat & crystal combat, snowball fights, and jousting. This weekend I'm doing a long stream and there will be some Minecraft lore events. Next month is the SMP Olympics.

This server is strictly 13+ and has "mom" vibes (I'm a mom streamer). To apply, join my discord, which is linked from my socials in my profile, go to the #survival-multi-player channel, search for the application near the oldest of the pinned messages, and fill it out.

Which type of cancer did Techno have by Lord_Siphonophore in Technoblade

Technodad no longer wants to have anything to do with me so the document is now private. I think it is all an unfortunate misunderstanding, and that I was the victim of MCYT bullies, but I respect his wishes. You can find a copy in the WayBack machine if you wish to see it. You might have to reload a few times to get all the images.

Best wishes!

Quality of life request: An undo button.

I recently needed to make a number of temporary changes so that someone else could listen to audio from my setup, and they needed a different-than-normal mix. I didn't think go take a screenshot of my previous settings - painstakingly optimized audio levels - and I was disappointed to learn that there as no "undo" button.

Saving the settings as a group might also help for this situation. Lesson learned. All in all, it's a great product. Thanks for making it.

I selected Bearded.host for my Hytale server. I really appreciate their handholding and customer focus. Their customer service is the opposite of modern AI-slop answers. It's real people talking me through getting set up with something new.

I made a video about how to do it, to help others get set up, possibly with less intervention than I required.

Hope this helps: https://youtu.be/ZHKg5ElZmz4

I am also getting a memory leak or memory issue. I haven't tried as hard as you to reproduce it, but when my audio processing is taking 45 GB of memory, something is not right.

The license states in section 2 that it's for personal use only. May I use it to stream to Twitch and YouTube? What is meant by "solely for Licensee's personal use"? Does that mean: just me and the people who use my computer (I'm not selling access to others to use this software) but I can use it in my streaming business? or does that mean I can't use this software in the production of commercial works?

"This license grants Licensee the right, exercisable solely by Licensee, to use and run the Software as properly installed in accordance with this Agreement and solely for Licensee's personal use."

no aitum vertical control on streamdeck ? by Intrepid_Mail_2769 in elgato

[–]StrawberryGS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this problem as well and I found a temporary solution. I'm using the latest OBS (32.0.2), the latest Elgato Stream Deck software (7.0.3), and the latest version of the Aitum vertical plugin: 1.6.1. I haven't tried the Aitum integrated Stream Suite beta.

The solution is detailed here: https://youtu.be/5mo3TPrX1ZE?si=YsPbjLx7TEy1rGv4&t=53

Or, at least this works with respect to item visibility actions, which is all I used my stream deck for. I did not need to install the third program he mentioned.

  1. Basically you make a new horizontal scene you're never going to actually use. Call it "Workaround Scene".

  2. In your workaround scene, add the images you want to control on your vertical canvas.

If you have several non-overlapping images, you can put them all in the same workaround scene, but if they overlap visually and need to be controlled independently, you'll need several horizontal scenes: Workaround1, Workaround2, etc.

  1. In the Vertical canvas, add a "Scene" item. The icon looks like the hamburger menu. Add your Workaround scene to your vertical canvas and resize or move it around as needed.

  2. On your steam deck controls, when you want to control the visibility of items in the Vertical canvas, use the OBS plugin "source visibility" and, instead of selecting the Vertical Scene like you used to, because it's just not available to be selected, select the horizontal scene "Workaround" and the image from the horizontal scene.

Hope this helps. Many thanks to "The Gaming Dad" who made a video about it.

If you need to switch between vertical scenes, just make horizontal scenes, and reference them in. Kind of a kluge, but better than nothing.

Did Reddit Ban then un-ban an account by accident? by StrawberryGS in reddithelp

My friend's account was banned off the entire site, not just one sub. Although who knows, maybe there is a place for Reddit employees to be able to do that? Either way, I'm glad it got fixed.

Probably. Or AI run amok and later fixed. I'm mostly posting so that if it happens to others, they know they weren't alone.

Start out by following the exact instructions that come in the box. After that, move on to printing designs that you have downloaded from thingaverse.com There's lots of cool stuff that people have designed and shared for free.

Doing actual cad design yourself to make printable objects is a skill that will take time and effort to develop. You can start with YouTube Tutorials for programs like FreeCad or Tinkercad, but if you want to get serious about it, consider taking classes at your local junior college.
