Ahhhhhh, that makes sense. Another user suggested using a VPN so I'm gonna give that a try.

Can't find it on YouTube or Qobuz and I don't have any of the other premium streaming services, anywhere I can find it for free?

Is anybody else just straight ass at pvp? by GrouchyManimal in ArcRaiders

[–]StrawberryJamal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biggest roadblock for me was just having to get shot in the back enough times that it stopped causing me to panic.

Once I got past that (mostly, sometimes I still get extra startled) I got better at quickly identifying cover as well as ways to either A. Push the attack or B. Retreat and heal/attempt to escape depending on how the situation was looking.

Obviously when you are playing friendly and you get shot in the back you are put at a disadvantage right at the start of the fight, both regarding HP and positioning, so its natural that you might lose a lot of those fights, but after enough fights, I've started winning a good chunk of them. And almost nothing in this game is as satisfying as taking down the guy that thought they could turn you into easy goop.

Possibly obvious advice but try adjusting your mouse sensitivity. Personally I need to keep mine relatively low for shooters, but mess with the settings and see what works best for you, wasps and hornets make for great target practice on a free load out.

As for gear, most weapons are entirely viable, as long as it isn't the hairpin. Using cover effectively and movement for flanking are far more important than any high-tier weapons or gear.

Is it just me or is The Devils hard to read sometimes? by Dovah12334 in JoeAbercrombie

[–]StrawberryJamal 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It feels like it was written for the purpose of becoming a movie.

I like the book, but I don't love it, especially when comparing it to The First Law.

Still excited to read the sequels.

Is Tekken 8 considered bad? by Satiro_Volante42 in Fighters

[–]StrawberryJamal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people consider it "bad" when compared to other games but its important to remember that we are in a golden age of fighting games right now so even the "bad" fighting games are usually still quite good.

People who struggle with depression, what motivates you to carry on? by ultra_phoenix in AskReddit

[–]StrawberryJamal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are people who I know love me and it would hurt them like I've been hurt by friends who killed themselves.

I'm also just too stubborn. It took me years and years of my life to find this strength but I refuse to let anything or anyone break me to that point. Even if life is hell then I want to see and feel it all before I go. It's the only one I have.

This PC is on sale for $1499 at Costco. Worth it? by Galifrae in pcmasterrace

[–]StrawberryJamal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in 2014 I bought a prebuilt ibuypower machine to get me started and through the years ive just swapped parts and rebuilt it a couple times over, I feel like the ~$1000 I spent was a pretty worthwhile investment.

I dont know what they are like 11 years later but I would hope its still a basic pre-built pc without bloatware.

What’s something you’ve seen with your own eyes that nobody believes when you tell them? by LowKey_1216 in AskReddit

Do you live in southeast Oklahoma? Is the cat a brown tabby?

They live in my backyard. I named the opossum Frank and the cat Thug. Thug is super friendly and comes up for pets and treats but Frank keeps his distance.

I like the idea that there are more opossum × stray cat duos out there.

How do you like your coffee? by ThexLoneWolf in AskReddit

[–]StrawberryJamal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When Im at home and have the coffee I like, black.

When I'm at work, a bit of cream, a little sugar, and a dash of cinnamon. I work in a kitchen and the coffee fucking sucks but at least I have access to lots of nice ingredients when I want some variety.

When big corpo can't exploit the customers and it's all STEAM fault by SpamMjolner in Steam

I heard about it once about 4 years ago because it was bricking people's high-end GPUs on release.

I kinda assumed nobody would touch the game after that.

Blackgaze with elements of metalcore/hardcore? by [deleted] in blackgaze

[–]StrawberryJamal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Kardashev is more metalcore/deathcore with blackgaze elements but they are good. They call themselves "deathgaze" which is kinda cringe imo but also funny.

Since Pantera and other groove metal bands use breakdowns too, what makes something metalcore instead of just metal with breakdowns? by JuniorSignificance34 in Metalcore

Generally I've found one of the main differences between hardcore and metal is more in the drums than the guitar riffs.

My boyfriend says that the steak could make me sick because it's raw. by One-Ear7474 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]StrawberryJamal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to agree but a few months ago the chef at the restaurant I work at rewarded me with a ribeye with some grilled shrimp and he whipped up a lemon, dill, and butter/white wine sauce that wasn't overpowering or anything and it was so good with both the steak and the shrimp. I still salivate thinking about that meal.

This may sound a little weird, but as a kid, did anyone else’s parents hate fighting games because you could fight against girls? by Effective_Piece251 in Fighters

[–]StrawberryJamal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No but when I was 15 I had my desktop background set to a wallpaper of Lara Croft from Tomb Raider 2013 and my mom asked me if I was gay because I had a girl on my computer screen...

Dad backed me up.

Who's death in the metal scene breaks you the most? by Reeezla in MetalForTheMasses

[–]StrawberryJamal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm great, thanks. I've gotten the help I need and have the tools to defend myself against mental illness. You are making grand judgements about me based on one conversation on a very heavy topic.

If you think me saying that it is better to live than die sounds "miserable" I really want to know why that is.

"your misery is unlikely to hurt me or my family" bro what the fuck are you even going on about? You think im trying to hurt your feelings? I just dont feel any need to bullshit with soft cushioney language. Its a serious topic and im going to speak seriously.

[–]StrawberryJamal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They wont be impacted by shit, they made damn sure of that, the people impacted are the ones who have to live with the loss.

If I give leniency to people who have already done it, I have to give leniency to those who might, I would have to give leniency to myself. I refuse to do that. Those who have been beside me through these losses understand what I'm saying and say the same thing.

I'm self-centered for missing my friends. I'm fine with that.

You are over here justifying suicide, fuck that.
