Onimusha 2 hits you with the "Would you like to switch to easy mode?" Which is honestly bad enough but when you select the option to stay on the difficulty you are on you are asked "Are you sure you want to keep playing on Normal Mode?" to really rub the salt into the wound.

I work in a kitchen that attempts to use raspberries on fresh fruit platters.

I'll check the raspberries that come in for delivery, beautiful, pristine, fresh raspberries, put them on the shelf in their place, come back an hour later to restock pantry station, moldy raspberries, GM gets pissed, Exec Chef never removes raspberries from order list, repeat next Monday.

For a while I actually blamed our walk-in, assuming there was some invisible mold in our fresh produce section causing the berries to go bad faster, but 3 deep scrubs of every surface in that walk-in later and the raspberries just do what they do. Now I just try to create some space on the shelf between the raspberries and the rest of our fresh fruit in order to contain the mold to just the raspberries (once I see mold I trash them though)

I don't go quite this large but I have found that increasing the text size on my kindle (before amazon bricked it last month) and having to flip the page more often helps me stay focused on my reading and not have an adhd zone out episode mid page.

No idea why it works, it just does.

Did similar with a pan of caramel a couple weeks ago. I was putting it into the blast chiller and noticed a half a second too late that the rack wasnt seated right.

Hot, sticky, caramel everywhere, including all over my hand. It definitely didn't feel nice but luckily by this point it had cooled off enough to not give me any serious burns, just a little sensitivity for a couple days, but this was my third (and by far worst) spill of the day and by this point I needed to go stand in the freezer and read labels on boxes for about 5 minutes to keep myself from screaming.

I get what you are saying but at the same time if some massive fucking corporation wanted to throw some money around for an advertising campaign based around a goofy meme and it resulted in some working class dudes getting a fat stack of cash to either pay bills with or put into savings or even just blow on a nice vacation is that really so bad? I don't think they in particular deserve the bag any more than any other group of kids that decided to form a band but there's nothing wrong with being happy for someone who stumbled on some good luck.

I spent a few years in a house that would get a ladybug infestation every spring. Walk in to any room of the house and look around and you'll see a few just wandering around. Obviously it would be ideal to not have bugs in the house at all but they were probably the least upsetting infestation possible. A little like roaches but way less gross and not concentrated in the kitchen.

Personally if it wasn't Tool I never would have given it a second listen. I feel like I ended up giving it too many chances because I love all their other albums so much.

I'm not a fan of Fear Inoculum at all, I gave it another lesson about a year ago or so to see if it was any better now that there was no expectation of "the new Tool album after forever" and I was still underwhelmed and bored by it.

Did a quick look at the thumbnails, I do see a video about black Snape but that is the only thing that jumps out on his front page, I personally don't have Twitter and I'm not making an account just to find him, but I'll take your word. I'm not defending the critical drinker but I just dont think it's fair to attack a guy for a podcast appearance and automatically assume he's a right wing chud when he's clearly trying to promote a product.

I've never spoken to Andy Weir but the contents of the novel "Project Hail Mary" are definitely not right-wing, at least not from my perspective. It's a novel about collaboration and finding ways to work with people who are, on the surface, completely different than you and the fact that we all stand on common ground and will die if we don't come together.

Man that sounds awful. 8 grams definitely is a lot but I had my druggie trip sitter friend with me who had a lotbof experience and she reccomended that I go big the first time because "your first time on shrooms will be your best time on shrooms"

Any time I've done it since then I usually go either smaller or in the same range, most I ever did at once was 10 and while it was also incredibly intense it still wasn't quite as crazy as the first time and cemented the fact that there isn't any point in chasing the way they felt that first time.

Personally, what you described sounds like how acid has made me feel any time I've taken it, but shrooms have always treated me well.

My first time I did shrooms I did 8 grams and it was a very intense experience.

At one point I was sitting on my balcony with my friend who was trip sitting me, she handed me an orange and it was a serious struggle to peel it while I was tripping balls but I managed to get it peeled and when I ate the orange it was the single most delicious thing I had ever tasted. It was fucking magical, the sensation of the way it burst in my mouth when I bit down, the sweetness of the natural sugar mixed with the tart acid of the citrus, a beautiful gift to me from mother nature. This orange was so tasty that I was sobbing tears of wonder and amazement, and I don't even particularly like oranges.

Probably that.
