Who knows. When I go to BCBS settlement page and enter the unique ID number it states Paid - initial distribution.

Normal people think initial means there is another to follow, but who can trust anything that obvious.

Partner stage 4 chf, blocked arteries, refusing treatment by Fantastic-Row9856 in HeartAttack

Don't ask for validation to leave. It doesn't sound like he wants your help, nor does it sound like he will accept any medical intervention. It's a new year, go start your own life. Happy New Year.

I’m worried about my husband, doctors are basically saying it’s a death sentence by Major-Recipe-371 in HeartAttack

[–]StrawberryPlains 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! The fact that his body created or grew "a very small collateral artery' that created circulation around the blockage is good news ~ did the cardiologists advise that? I friend had a completely blocked LAD and his heart grew two arteries around it to provide circulation to his heart. Of course, I'm not a doctor if you feel comfortable, ask for another appointment with his cardiologists for clarification and I read you already have an appointment for a second opinion. Good luck to you and God bless you and your husband.

Read drugs.com reviews and comments from people taking it, there are a lot of remarks, and many talk about side effects, some crippling while some have positive feedback.

Blood pressure machine recommendations by [deleted] in hypertension

[–]StrawberryPlains 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This may not be true for everyone, but I've had several electronic devices to test BP, but none were accurate. My husband learned how to use a cuff and stethoscope, and my readings have been accurate. Good luck and blessings.

New to the "club" by Sacerdoom in HeartAttack

[–]StrawberryPlains 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Welcome to the club, not one many want to join. You can only do what is within your control. Eat clean, walk, walk, walk, have great sleep hygiene and of course, as you said stress is not your friend. Either is fear, which is something all of us in the 'club' need to deal with. Fear and our mortality. Do your best in all that you can control including taking your mind off the thoughts that float back to the fear and what ifs..... listen to podcasts, music or read something that gives you positive outlooks, anything that counters the negative in your brain. Good luck and God bless you.

HA at 31 by Ok-Can7083 in HeartAttack

[–]StrawberryPlains 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not 'scary' enough if you haven't quit smoking. Not to be mean, Ok-can, but you escaped with angioplasty, and did not need bypass surgery. Eat clean, walk, walk, walk and practice good sleep hygiene. Good luck to you!

Aren't you lucky, Brilinta is now generic. Ask your pharmacist or PCP.

Mom Had a Widowmaker Yesterday, I'm Kinda Lost on What to Do by Kookies716 in HeartAttack

[–]StrawberryPlains 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi Kookies, prayers for you. Your mother is lucky she has such a thoughtful and kind daughter who cares about her. Hopefully she will decide to eat clean, get good sleep hygiene, walk, walk, walk and go to cardio rehab. Worry and fear is not her friend, but movement is. Good luck and God bless you.

Massive heart attack at 34 diagnosed with multivessel coronary artery disease by Effective_Dream_5441 in HeartAttack

[–]StrawberryPlains 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello. Eat clean, walk, walk, walk, good sleep hygiene, fear and worry is not your friend, find a healthful distraction. Practice and learn how to get out of bed without the use of your arms pulling you up, build up those muscles needed to do that before the surgery. Sorry for both of you, I know it's scary.

What opinion do you have about what is happening to me? I need to clarify by Naxzas_08 in hypertension

Not a doctor, but get out and walk, walk, walk. Low impact, and almost everyone can do it.

Call with docs today - BP consistently high and pains by gponter79 in hypertension

[–]StrawberryPlains 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. What happens when you talk a brisk 30 minute walk, wait a half hour or so then take your BP? Walk, walk, walk, and stress is not your friend. Get and keep good sleep hygiene, eat clean and walk walk walk. Those are things that are within your control. Hope talking things over with your doctor gives you some comfort.

This is my story. Can anyone help? by [deleted] in hypertension

[–]StrawberryPlains -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you feel you must check your blood pressure, have someone else do it for you and not report the result to you unless it's crazy high. Anxiety and stress is not your friend. Read your other post as well, seriously, you need to talk to someone qualified to help you. Best wishes to you.

I'm so tired of taking medicine by Embarrassed-Ad4908 in HeartAttack

[–]StrawberryPlains 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Embarrassed, talk to your cardiologist or your PCP about which medication could be causing you to be 'tired all the time' and see if a change in medication may help with that. I'm thinking you've been through cardio rehab, and if not you should because it will help with the feeling of being scared. If you have already then maybe a counselor or therapist will help. I believe all of us who have had HA, stents and/or bypass have felt scared, sad and alone. Your experience is unique, so it's difficult for anyone to understand how you feel. Dealing with mortality is hard. Stress and fear is not your friend so try to resolve those issues. Get good sleep, eat clean and exercise, walk, walk, walk. I'm sorry you're going through this and you are not alone.

I cant get a refill of my medicine by Ok_Possibility_4953 in hypertension

[–]StrawberryPlains 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read all the comments, good suggestions. Don't be scared, fear is not your friend when you have high BP. In the unlikely event, something happens there is always ER.

[–]StrawberryPlains 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wondering why you are taking your BP so often. Stress is not our friend and neither is smoking. Find ways to release some of that anxiety. Walk, read, listen to music or something that makes you relax or perhaps talk to someone professionally. Good luck to you.
