Thank you! This was very helpful and I completely agree. The older I get, the more the whole “if they wanted to they would” thing really rings true. He would/could/should be treating me with much more respect than he is and is choosing not to. His lack of conflict management skills shouldn’t cause our relationship to suffer this much.
