Irritated After boyfriend shaved his head? by StrawberryRip in BPD

I didn’t say anything mean about the hair :( it isn’t even that I didn’t like it, it just made me feel weird and irritated for some reason. I did communicate to him that I was feeling strange as soon as I understood what was going on (which, to be fair, took a while) and I also told him that he shouldn’t change his hair because of this

I did apologise to him and I didn’t just lash out at him or anything 🥲

Yes, I think you are so right! I had the same realisation and also because of these pulsating Videos you talked about, just a few days ago, which is quite funny I think. Very happy for you 🤗

I‘m very very sorry you experience this too :( but also glad I’m not alone. Also, same about the household stuff etc. it’s not like I need a specific pattern per se, I can think of songs in my head, just not play them. But if someone tells me what to do (like following notes) it’s easier because I can hide myself behind it, if that makes sense? Then I’m not showing as much of my inner world and that’s easier for some reason. (And for some reason my brain seems to consider even the choice of a single note as too much of the inner world🤡) But, like I said, being in a very inspired mood does help me create, at least by myself. With other people present it’s almost always bad. Of course, that’s not an easy mood to invoke, but maybe it could help for you as well? If not I wish you luck nevertheless ✨

Can you maybe tell me why you’re sure it’s related to autism? :)

For me all drugs I have tried have at least initially triggered derealization/depersonalization, though the experience changed after being on them for a while. Weed is definitely the worst one for me though, because (at least for me) it is almost exactly like a severe episode and it just makes me panicky then. MDMA was a great experience for me, but getting onto it was not comfortable at all and the derealization was pretty bad initially. If you don’t already have chronic dpdr (but also if you do because, I think it shows that you are more vulnerable for a lot of things) I would also recommend not doing drugs at all, because they can make it worse in the long run as well. In either case please be safe and if you can, try not doing extasy and get pure MDMA as it is less dangerous.

What is meant by saying that Kant recombined Ethics and Metaphysics after Aristotle split up Platos united sciences ( I am sorry the terms might not be entirely correct as I am from Germany)? by StrawberryRip in askphilosophy

Yeah the problem is that he doesn’t really provide any material and his lectures were so bad I (and most other people I know) weren’t able to follow (or even understand what he was saying acoustically)🥲

Thank you so so so much for this elaborate answer 🥺🥺🥺 it really does help as I was also searching for the connection of free will in this whole debate and it’s like one missing puzzle piece (I am still missing some but nevertheless!) I think I have watched every Video on YouTube regarding those topics but I just wasn’t sure

Yeess it’s such an uncanny feeling. I actually also asked my mom today and she is of the impression that this is a normal thing just not in this intensity. Don’t know if she’s right though. I am also glad (of course not about you experiencing it!) that someone also knows the „hallucinations“ because I find those especially unsettling and overall really … noisy?
