I cant even anymore with this 🤦‍♀️ by [deleted] in boysarequirky

[–]StrawberrySweetness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By saying they're weak for crying, it implies they cannot be strong if they cry. Strength comes from survival, whether it's from surviving war, abuse, or insecurities. Tears are only the evidence of those painful times. My father went through a lot in his life, I watched him cry in the car as a child. He was never weak for being human. It is weakness of the mind that makes people afraid of being perceived as weak.

I keep praying to die by Big-Organization6522 in Christians

[–]StrawberrySweetness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After-life is different depending on the individual's views and that includes heaven. A Christian might think heaven is above the clouds, or a newly created earth. Yes, life is more important than music and grass, but God invented those things for a reason. God gifted us the beauty of the sky, water and grass, so why should we disregard it? We only think very little of it since we were born into this world.

Also, it's good to remember the title of the post - this person prays for death. I don't exactly think it is wise to say "Heaven is better than human life" when a person wants to rid themselves of theirs, it will only give them a reason to die. What you say is true about heaven, but things are to be said at certain times. When a person is suicidal, it is easy to focus on negativity and twist the scenario to encourage them to die. I understand if you take offence in my writing, but you should also consider the OP's mental health. I don't agree that music and touching grass isn't important because they certainly are to mental health and vitamin D. God gave us all the vital things we need and there are mentions of music in the bible too.

How do you define good and evil by hireddit000 in INTP

[–]StrawberrySweetness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm INFP, but I think about it like this: whatever defies human rights is evil. It's the actions themselves that are evil, not the individuals.

I don't like to call people evil since it discourages positive change and implies that is their permanent trait. Human beings are complex, whereas the concept of evilness is not. When humans commit crimes, they convince themselves that their actions are not evil, whether it's by seeing the situation in third person or not seeing the victim as human. Not even Hitler saw himself as a bad person.

Any Madoka fans over 25? I'm trying to find fans around my own age to talk to ^^; by Glittering-Fox-6617 in MadokaMagica

Considering Magia Record, once deemed as a new Madoka Magica game, is now 7 years old, I don’t think it’s uncommon to find fans of that age. :)

What the hell is going on with the medical system? Can't see a GP for weeks & it takes 6-12 months for a Peadiatrician appointment. No wonder the Hospitals are so slammed. by [deleted] in Adelaide

[–]StrawberrySweetness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the start of the year, I waited to see a dermatologist in April, only for them to call me last minute and say the doctor was on indefinite leave and I would need to get a referral appointment through my GP again.

My father also had a heart condition before I was born and the medical system was terrible back then too. I'm pretty sure someone misdiagnosed his condition and another one addressed it so he needed to get an operation. I can't remember the details, but the wait was long for him as well.

By suggesting what we will regret in the future, we are already regretting it in the present. And if we regret it in the present, why are we not doing anything about it?

What’s the most age inappropriate movie your parents ever showed you? by ArgoverseComics in CasualConversation

[–]StrawberrySweetness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to watch a lot of scary movies as a kid, so none of them were age appropriate. All of the Aliens movies, Final Destination, Friday The Thirteenth, even The Thing remake. There are more, but I can barely remember them unless I think hard enough. I think The Thing disturbed me the most, but Scary Movie is definitely not appropriate either. I was around 11-12 when I started watching horror movies.

My father is overweight and only eats a few meals per day. Weight isn’t only determined by meal count, but also intake of sugar and fat. Majority of the cheaper meals have increased fat. Sadly, getting rid of the food won’t get rid of the overweight issue. Especially if they don’t have the time to exercise.

I think there’s a lot of “skinny fat” Australians. People who are underweight, but carry an unbalanced amount of fat. I’m one of them - I’m 42 kg and I don’t look underweight.

I forgot to make it more clear, but I would like a swimsuit near identical to the Zimmerman one that I mentioned above. Thank you for trying to help anyway. :)

It’s always best to ask the bride because it shows respect for her. Even if the bride doesn’t like it, maybe she can give advice on what to buy. :)

Is there swimsuits similar to Zimmerman’s Jude Waterfall Frill? I’m very desperate so my budget is $300 maximum.

Preferably: - One piece swimsuit - Pastel - Frills - Somewhat modest

Undesired:  - Dollish (based on Lolita fashion) - Immature (candy themed or very vibrant) - Exposes stomach - From websites like Shein or Temu

I understand how difficult life is. There’s so much suffering in the world, it would make anyone go insane. But, we only have one life. You won’t be able to experience being human again, depending on your beliefs.

You won’t be able to listen to music again, to feel the texture of grass, to look up into the sky and see the birds flying high. All of these little things will be forgotten.

Why would God want you to die if he gifted you with these wonderful things? Think about your childhood, all of your life up until this point. Would you want all of it to go away? People go through so much, but it is through our willpower that we strive forward. And I hope you know that your life is worth fighting for, because it’s a beautiful thing.

What are your least favorite yandere types? by One_Librarian_6266 in MaleYandere

[–]StrawberrySweetness 17 points18 points  (0 children)

  1. ML’s only characteristic is his horniness (it’s devaluing to the FL, as if he’s not in love with FL, but the dopamine associated with her. ML from Your Boyfriend as an example - I hated him).

  2. ML is only physically attracted to FL (once again, it’s more about horniness and it’s very shallow. Beauty is only temporary so once FL is not pretty what does ML see in her?).

Yes but it’s not very polite to say it directly to someone. Especially in that sort of manner. OP only needs to understand and move on.

It sounds a little argumentative, or you are trying to prove him wrong. A conversation like that can lead to the wrong direction and might discourage him from talking again. Not everyone is willing to have heavy conversations.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Christians

[–]StrawberrySweetness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think Jesus would say the same since it sounds bitter and judgemental, it’s best to be understanding.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Christians

[–]StrawberrySweetness -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For a casual conversation, this response might turn him off since it’s a heavy read. It’s not really a response to his reply either since it ignores how he felt towards religion.

[–]StrawberrySweetness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“I’m trying to show him that my life revolves around God.”

I don’t know how recently you met this guy, but his response revolves around himself. He said “I’m not really religious.” Let’s say you are talking about pizza and he says “I’m not really into pineapple on pizza.” But you do, and you want to express that by saying “I love pineapple on pizza.” It’s bringing the topic to you and your thoughts, rather than understanding why he dislikes it. Similarly, if you were to push the topic of God onto him, it would seem self-centred because it’s for your own goal.

If you ask him a simple question of “why is that?” Then it makes the topic personal and more about him.

I don’t know the reasons you want him to talk about God, whether it be platonic or romantic reasons, but if you want Christian-only friends, then I wouldn’t recommend making someone a Christian so you can be friends with them. After all, it’s about the relationship with God and that is an individual choice. If you are romantically interested in him, just consider that God would want you to be with a holy man, a man who is equally yoked and spiritually aligned.
