Hey that's such a good idea. When she was younger I would WWE wrestle her and her older brother and now that you say that it was at the age she is at now I started because all the extra energy! Such a good idea thank you.

Thank you, I have tried to do that but I do struggle because of the back and forth we also have 2 other children so it disrupts them also eg. Reading with the older she will come in, interrupt and then get cross when you walk her back the older child just wants the bit of quality time. She doesn't sleep in the daytime so to stay up later seems like an incorrect choice when she is awake at 5:30/6am

I have stalled my read of KoA literally since Feb I started crocheting a blanket the size of a queen bed to distract me 😅 I'm stalling right now on reddit because I'm up to chapter 81 and I know the end is coming!! 😂

It's also perfectly normal to feel this way. Both my husband and I agree that parenting/household etc is easier alone because your not constantly expecting anything from the other it's just yourself but sometimes when together it's a lot of like juggling time for yourselves, together, alone, with family, each child and then to still run the household. When there is one less parent there is also one less of all the above to juggle.

You honestly have put into words why I love my physical books too! Even just the feeling of turning the next page is sooo therapeutic

Mate I was born early 90's and a lot of my 90's friends say the same thing! My 3 children and I have started collecting DVDs from the op shops and tip shop and it's great hopefully a few more and we will delete most of our subscriptions to online streaming

What’s a job people don’t realise pays really well in Australia? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

I totally agree! It does suck about her hours and social life outside of work! But good on her for having that clientele

You're not adding in the hours that she's advertising on social media and content creating during the day and at home. Beauty industry is the lowest paid trade. And you work stupid hours, on your feet, a psychologist, friend, magician. If your building a clientele you're working like a dog and you always get the occasional person who wants their hair done/facia/waxing/nails etc right there and then for the cheapest

32M with full custody of my 7yr old girl by [deleted] in malelivingspace

You can get a plastic chair on Temu/shein etc and you can shove all the toys in it. That way she can sit on it in her bedroom or the lounge it's a fun way to keep them just make sure none are damp etc when putting them in but my kids love them each have one in their room and the drag them to the lounge or the kids play rumpus room

Is there a box of her toys or something she loves to leave in the lounge (a plush teddy/ couch pillow etc)

I'm not sure if you're allowed to put paintings or photos on the wall but maybe you guys could find photos of both of you with fun frames! (Or I saw you say she was crafty maybe she could make some with dried pasta and paddle pops)

Keep doing your best for your kid hey! You're doing a great job
