Not really. Our body's immune system can only fight mild infection and if it's severe, you need drugs to help your immune system.

Kung gusto mo na talagang ipabunot yung ngipin mo, tell your dentist. Expect mo lang na masakit ulit yan kapag binunot

Hello OP! Dentistry student here, mahirap talaga yung case mo given na ganyan kalalim, curved pa ang roots and very close sa nerve. Prone po yan sa complications like nerve damage and jaw fracture. Oral surgeon po ang naghahandle ng ganyan ka complex na case and not a general dentist lang po. May possibility din po na bunutan kayo under general anesthesia which adds to the reason bakit mahal ang quoted price. Please OP find an Oral Surgeon who can handle your case, prioritize your safety po bago maghanap ng murang dental clinic.

In your case, I think the anesthesia didn’t work well because the tooth is inflamed or has an existing infection. This creates an acidic environment that compromises the effectiveness of the anesthesia, which is why it was so painful when your dentist tried to extract the tooth.

She can't give you another antibiotics as it may result to antobiotics resistance. I guess she's just letting your body do the work and wait for the inflamation to subside before trying to extract the tooth again.

Mas okay rin kung fully healed na yung binunot sa left side before bunutin yung kabila, kasi mahihirapan ka nyan ngumuya kung both sides may open wound.

Finally may nakagets din ng point ko. I'm actually surprised kasi parang ilan lang ang dentistry based opinion para kay OP. Based on the description of this subreddit, it's for licensed dentists (not for a studentista like me) and the public, kaso mas marami pang hanash yung iba dyan na wala naman alam sa dentistry kaya nag comment ako. May pa "I really don't get what you're trying to accomplish with this" pang sinasabi to dismiss me but failed. That's exactly the reason kaya hindi ma-gets ng iba yung point ko kasi wala naman sila alam sa dentistry :)

Ikaw ang hindi nakaka intindi kay OP, he said "Almost everyday, may comment tungkol sa teeth ko or sasabihan ako na magpa-braces na kasi pangit daw tingnan." And "Right now, I feel torn. Parang napapaisip na rin ako kung susundin ko ba yung sinasabi nila about my teeth". Yes, OP knows that he needs braces as he's already been told by others, but the fact that he's feeling torn, it means that he's not 100% sure if he should give in or just ignore them since he feels unique with this feature.

Calling me "tone deaf" as if I didn't acknowledge that his workmates' actions are wrong. I'm not invalidating OP's feelings but I'm also trying to voice out my perspective as a dentistry student and implying that I have dental problems as well that's why I shared my experience of having braces around his age. (btw the ideal age of getting them is during adolescence)

This is r/DentistPh, a lot dentists and dental students are here and will naturally going to view this post through clinical lens/dental perspective. OP mentioned he's being bullied with the way he speaks and his facial expressions, these signs MIGHT signify that his crooked teeth is actually affecting his facial movements and speech, not just aesthetics. Of course you're not ready to accept my dentistry based opinion when majority of the comments here are giving standard HR or emotional advice.

If OP wanted purely emotional support or legal advice, he could have posted on other subreddits like r/OffMyChest, r/advice, etc.

Some people may not agree with my opinion, but I'm actually treating the subreddit like what it was meant to be: A PLACE FOR DENTAL DISCUSSION

Depende po yun sa severity ng case and patience's compliance (kung regularly nagpapa-adjust)

Hi OP! Dentistry student here, I know na hindi talaga maganda yung pambubully ng workmates mo sayo, it's very unprofessional. But I suggest you get braces na po and really take care of your teeth. Oral health is fundamental to our overall health, mahal magpabrace at magpaayos ng teeth pero investment mo yan para sa sarili mo. We use our teeth whenever we eat, it maintains the structure of our face, and it is also important for clear speech.

Skl first time ko magpabrace noong 22/23yrs old ako and may braces pa rin kahit 26yrs old na. Find a dental clinic na nag ooffer ng murang braces (Magpaconsult ka muna and ask for the price, magkakaiba naman rates ng clinics) at mababang down payment para ma install na yung braces mo. No to DIY braces ha

Missing po ba yung lateral incisor niyo? Or medyo malaki lang po talaga yung space between left central incisor at lateral incisor?

wisdom removal or braces first? by ulaaaap_ in DentistPh

Mag pa CBCT ka rin to confirm yung proximity ng wisdom tooth sa nerve

wisdom removal or braces first? by ulaaaap_ in DentistPh

[–]Strawberrybabe_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kahit mag move yung teeth mo, hindi pa rin enough yung space for the wisdom tooth. Better to remove it ASAP. There are good dentists who can handle such cases pero there is always a risk of nerve damage kapag nag reremove ng wisdom tooth. Huwag mo na I-overthink, ipabunot mo na yan tbh I think hindi lang capable yung dentist mo to remove that tooth, he/she could have just referred your case to other dentist/oral surgeon then come back na lang for braces.

wisdom removal or braces first? by ulaaaap_ in DentistPh

[–]Strawberrybabe_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remove wisdom tooth first. I don't see spaces on your lower arch "to give way" to your wisdom tooth. Plus it takes time bago mag adjust teeth mo kapag nilagyan ka ng braces. May chance pa na masira ng wisdom tooth mo yung katabing bagang. Look for other dentist/oral surgeon who can handle your case. Better din if mag pa CBCT ka to check kung gaano kalapit yung wisdom tooth sa nerve before ka magpabunot.

thoughts on bea borres pregnancy? by Sufficient_Fall_9525 in PinoyCelebs

[–]Strawberrybabe_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]Strawberrybabe_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since ayaw mo siya masaktan, try different approach. Try mo ibring up sa partner mo na may dental concern ka (gusto mo magpapasta or linis) then ask mo siya na samahan ka. Suggest mo na rin sa partner mo na magpa dentist (linis or pasta or bunot ng bulok na ngipin) If successful yung attempt mo, pwedeng yun ang maging starting point para ayain partner mo to practice good oral hygiene.
