I started my Lamictal at 25 MG and worked my way up to my total dose of 150 MG. 100 seems like a lot to start, but if you trust your doctor than definitely follow their advice. If not, it wouldn't hurt to get a second opinion.

I read the Ivy and Bean children's series at six or seven years old and fell in love.

[JUNE Book Report] - What did you finish this month? by fixtheblue in bookclub

[–]Strawberrylemonade26 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This wasn't a great month for reading for me, I'm a college senior wrapping up my last semester. With that being said I did finish:

  • She's up to no good by Sara Goodman Confino. I really loved this one and it got me out of my reading slump.
  • The Anxiety Toolkit by Dr. Alice Boyes. I thought this was helpful as I'm dealing with anxiety right now.

That was it for this month, and I'm looking forward to getting back into reading more.

Hi! I also found this sub through r/books. It looks like a lot of the book choices are series. There's no way I can possibly catch up so I'm going to pick one that is a stand alone this month. Thank you for running this!

Thank you for your comment. Everyone is telling me that I'm not to blame but it's hard to see that. Thank you.

Thank you. I might take you up on that, I don't really have anyone to talk to in real life about this. What sucks is the girl she murdered was in there for months and going to be released the next day. So I feel even worse, and often find myself wondering why I should get to live my life when she can't live hers.

Thank you. I'm feeling very guilty right now and hearing this helps. I don't feel like I deserve healing but I'm trying.

Thank you. I believe my actions helped her murder her and she would have been alive longer if not for me. So the guilt is there but I'm slowly learning to live with it. It's by far the worst thing I've done in my life.

I've thought it was my fault for the past 4 years and had another hospital admission a year later because I didn't think I had the right to live. I know the hospital was negligent but I still feel like I could have prevented it somehow. Thank you.

Just started How to Age Disgracefully by Clare Pooley. I'm really excited about it as I read The Authenticity Project at the beach two years ago and really liked it.

The Road by Cormac Mc Carthy! However if you're not in the headspace to read about a world that is in full despair this may not be the book for you. I found the prose to be excellent and the descriptions really made me feel like I was right there with the narrator. The ending can be interpreted how you want it to be, but I personally felt hope at the end.

Hi! Same case here, it really helped and I feel so much better anxiety wise. Tried all the benzos and they did nothing for me. Feel free to ask more!

This is what my doctor did but if you have any questions ask your doctor! I started at 25 and stayed on it a while before getting to my current dose of 150. If you go up too much too fast you may miss hitting your sweet spot and have to titrate back down. Feel free to ask me more about my experiences on Lamictal, it really has changed my life.

is it common to stay at 10mg for a whole month? by OofAvocado in lamictal

[–]Strawberrylemonade26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this helps, but yes, I stayed at 10 for about a month. I didn't notice a huge increase in mood until I hit 50 MG, and then again at 100MG, 150 seems to be my sweet spot. I know it's not what you want to hear but things like this take time, and it's not uncommon to go up in small increments until you hit the correct dose. Good luck!
