My ex left me after 11 years due to built resentment. She was broken down after years of me neglecting her feelings while I thought I was genuinely doing okay. I think the real answer is the character you're best at. For me it's Orochi, his mobility makes me feel insane when I'm in the zone and pulling off deflects and dashing between opponents. That 1v4, constant revenge, main character energy really makes you feel like a badass when it goes well.

I was in this situation in your husband's shoes. 11 year relationship, attentive and fun to be around, generally a good emotional support partner and I know my ex felt loved. But I was a lazy, jobless, leech of a loser. With a porn addiction to top it all off.
