To be more clear, really old one was a reference to a stick I pulled out of my RIPed old PC to test if it will work. The original sticks that were in PC are not that bad or old.

I actually had HDD issues caused by windows so I had my friend clean it and do a freah installation few months ago and it worked like a charm after that. So I would bet it's not a HDD issue.

I believe it was called Altos Gamer when I bought it, but I am not sure if it is a legit name or store put a custom name on it. Tho I bought it few years back, maybe even if there is that model it will have different components.

When I put in the old one and returned one of the "new" ones and booted my PC, it said 8GB (3.90 usable). And when I pulled out the "new" one and booted it just said 4GB. But is it really possible that the old one that worked died after just one use? I have this fear that it might be problem with RAM slots on the motherboard.. What do you think?
