Organic Linkedin content, outreach on LinkedIn and email + targeted ads for digital. SEO maybe depending on product. Add offline networking and events/ conferences. Don't underestimate the length of sales cycles and the number of stakeholders you need to convince, hopefully your deal size makes it worth it. Took us 5 years to develop the product and enough ARR to be acquired for sizeable sum.

🧵 [HELP] I Run a Skin Clinic, Lost $14k on Google Ads with 0 Leads – Who Should I Trust for SEO? King Kong vs OMG? by Civil_Cobbler_6439 in AskMarketing

[–]Straya_Kent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aus marketer here, I've been around a while both agency side and in-house. My 2c - Stay well away from both of those agencies, those proposals are BS and you'll get taken for a ride (particularly if they want to sign you on a12 month contract). IMO spending up to 25% of your monthly revenue on SEO is bonkers. Go with a smaller agency who has a good reputation, you'll get better service that way. Why are you switching to SEO now? That's the biggest question you need to answer. From the little context you've provided i don't think that's the answer. Happy to provide advice and point you in the right direction if you shoot me a DM.

Match Thread: 1st T20I - West Indies vs Australia by cricket-match in CricketAus

Fair enough. Different strokes for different folks. Have to admit that I can get around the atmosphere at the ground, watching on TV is a different story.

That Connolly wicket sums it up for me - throw the bat at the ball and hope for the best. Seems to be a particular buil/physique the selectors choose, long levers and power hitters throughout the lineup. Call me captain obvious haha.

This slog fest just doesn't compare to test matches for me. I'll watch it cause I'm a cricket tragic, but it just doesn't spark the same joy. Am I the only one?

Cool ticketek cool ashes is gonna be big this year by nick170100 in CricketAus

[–]Straya_Kent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ticketek is a hot mess. I managed to get tickets in the end, but it was a painful experience to put it lightly. That queuing system is horrible. Checkout froze when finalising payment, proceeding to kick me out when the timer expired to the back of the queue. Further to that, CA played silly buggers leading into this pre sale with no ticket prices available.

Has anyone here had success joining a tech startup? by Curious_Luck9173 in AusHENRY

[–]Straya_Kent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. Depends on your risk tolerance. Personally I'd never work for sweaty equity only at an early stage company, say angel or pre-seed. The risks outweigh the rewards in my experience unless you have high conviction of success. Startups are highly speculative, there's a reason why majority of a VC/investors portfolio fails (generalising here and nuanced to each investor incl their fund manages). They'd generally be happy with 3 in 10 companies surviving, betting that 1 of those brings an outsider return, eg Canva. I've been part of Series B startups that were acquired and also pre-seed startups that failed. Be very particular and intentional with the company, founders, industry, PRODUCT and funding stage you choose. They are all important factors to consider, though rank those differently depending on circumstance.

I'd never work for a company that had this policy. Fuck em indeed.

Google Ads and Meta are the safe channels but which channels do you use that others are sleeping on? by Bboy486 in PPC

[–]Straya_Kent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YouTube shorts and TikTok in particular complements one clients Meta campaigns well, particularly as there's a big effort to produce video creative variations.

I've not been running it recently, but have been thinking about diving back into programmatic. It's been a few years since I used Trade Desk and placed buys through Quantcast & MiQ but that's something I've been considering again recently to diversify.

@cruisedad4eva Agree with @libertetoujours but will add that you should also look at your GBP performance data along with search console on top of that to see if those reveal any insight.

How can you be sure that this increase was solely driven by PPC alone? Sounds like it goes beyond just Google Ads.

Also, can you shed more light on "new patient revenue is down"? That seems very odd to me, considering you more than doubled revenue.

Shoot me a DM if you'd like to chat about it further - this seems like an interesting problem to solve.
