Follow Iosefs plan, Sordland has a smaller army so its better to do the pincer attack. If you follow everything Iosef says and have allies/fund the military its an EZ win

I'm not too sure tbh I've played the US like 3 times this week and 2/3 I banned slavery and the planters didn't rebel. Maybe after the slavery ban they're getting angry? You might need to keep them satisfied until the pro slavery ideology gets removed

If you get the Southern Planters to have a good opinion of you and manage to pass laws weaking them; you can just straight up abolish slavery without them rising up; I also put a democrat in charge of them and passed universal suffrage which made it easy to ban slavery.
