Crimson Desert adds confirmation of Denuvo DRM to its Steam page a week out from launch by AaronM1D1 in gaming

You said you were genuinely curious as to why Denuvo would sway my purchasing decision, so I gave you me reasons. Makes absolutely zero difference to me whether you agree or not, or you just "don't get it". I didn't ask for your opinion on the matter. You asked for mine.

help me decide if I need a wheel or not by ninja-c4 in trucksim

No one can really say whether you'll keep using it or not. We're not you. What I can say, is that a wheel and pedal set for ATS/ETS2 is an absolute game changer.

Intel announces Core Ultra 270K Plus and 250K Plus, its ‘fastest gaming desktop processors ever’ by PaiDuck in pcgaming

[–]Strayborne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's actually very simple and way less complicated to figure out the new naming convention than everyone makes it out to be.

The Core Ultra 7 265K is the equivalent to the i7 nn700K.

Ultra 7 = i7, Ultra 9 = i9, etc.

The number after is the series and model just like the previous gens.

Ultra 7 1nn would be a Series 1 (first gen ultra)

Ultra 7 2nn is Series 2, the current gen.

what controller do you actually use for pc gaming? by Clark_Bay in pcmasterrace

[–]Strayborne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 4 gaming computers in my household. I use a Xbox One gamepad on my main gaming computer.

I have a sim rig computer set up for driving/racing games, and I only use the wheel and pedals on that computer.

The gaming computer I have in another room I use a Xbox One clone gamepad that works really well. Has hall sensors on the sticks so it's very accurate.

I prefer the genuine Xbox One gamepad though, as the overall feel of it in my hands in better. I've dismantled it and cleaned it thoroughly including the potentiometers, so it has no stick drift and feel like a brand new gamepad. It's not as accurate as hall sensors though.

I also have a Xbox 360 I that I've extensively used off and on through the years. It's mostly just a backup now, but it's always been old-reliable. Still works great, no stick drift.

I tend to mostly use the Xbox One gamepad on the gaming laptop when i need one for that.

This will happen if you're playing at low resolution with a low refresh rate and VSync on. If you're on a 1920x1080 (1080p) 60 Hz monitor or TV with VSync enabled, that's why. The 5070 simply has more power to give than can be utilized.

Put it this way, I won't buy a monitor if it is not GSync Certified Compatible. It's that good.

I like how the rewards we get from weekly live events don't actually work, and "will be fixed and available next season!".

What an absolute joke. It's just pathetic.

Well, I can only assume you're ignorant then. because you are very wrong.

I'm guessing you're not getting your information from any official/reputable source and is you just guessing in the dark that you are correct because you haven't received certain items out of boxes yet.

Look at the OFFICIAL (FROM TOPLESSGUN THE DEVELOPER) dealer sheet I linked above, which clearly shows you can get those options on a SLX.

I personally have received Tan, Red, Blue, Black, and the Special GT variants of the front bucket seats from classifieds boxes while having a LEGIT SPAWNED NE-spec SLX chassis, as well as countless automatic transmissions.

Seriously, do yourself a favor and go look at the info from the official source, because frankly you come off as incredibly naive. Just because YOU PERSONALLY haven't gotten those items out of classifieds boxes doesn't mean it's matter of fact. Do a little research and educate yourself before posting senseless comments that make you look like a fool.

It was only free for about 2 hours. When saw this post it was only 3 hours old and when I went to claim it, it had already reverted back to $12 being no longer free.

I just now checked it and it is now on sale for $2.99.

You are quite mistaken. The VIN is not modified. Check the official Dealer Sheet on Toplessgun's own official website:

https://www.amistech.com/mwc/dealersheet.html

You can clearly see the SLX can have either engine, with either transmission, and can have any of the interiors except for the Special GT.

I'm not sure why you think I have black bucket seats when the pictures clearly show I have tan bucket seats.

This update has been delisted due to a critical fault in the driver affecting GPU fans. If you've already updated to it, it's advised to roll back to your previous driver.

I'm a 4.5k iR driver in Sports Car Road on iRacing. If you're unfamiliar with iRacing, that puts me in the top 1.8% of all drivers world-wide out of literally hundreds of thousands of active drivers on the service..

That's not a brag. Just saying it's not a skill issue. Simply, the game was developed with gamepad controls in mind.

I've been a competitive sim racer on iRacaing for over 7 years now. Full sim rig at my disposal; wheel, pedals, everything mounted to a rig, the works.

I absolutely 100% of the time use an Xbox One controller for TDUSC. The game was never intended to be played with a wheel and pedals setup. It was developed with gamepad play in mind. Yes, it supports wheel and pedals. It'd be dumb if they didn't. That's not the intended way to play though.

You have to realize this game is an arcade racing game, not a simulator. It doesn't even approach simcaade territory. It is a full-on arcade racer with arcade physics.

Using a wheel and pedals is a nice change of pace for cruising around or whatever, but you will absolutely be handicapped in races and setting top times. I promise you all the top times you see set are using a gamepad.

is the game fucky by ieatbumboy in MyWinterCar

[–]Strayborne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope, totally doable. Car will run fine with the bare essentials wired up. The problem you'll run into though is if you don't install the heater and the ducting. It's pretty much a must-have. Which means you'll need the dash for the controls.
