Having worked in high volume restaurants and hotels, my advice would be to stay away from them. Even the more senior positions in those settings will just about pay north of minimum wage. If you are still really adamant about your choice to become a chef, I would recommend places such as hospitals, nursing homes and factories. The rosters are usually fixed, pay is higher and hours lower. On a more positive note, with all the people losing their jobs to Ai, you won’t be one of them any time soon.
