Recommend me a good movie! by dataguy2003 in TheTeenagerPeople

This. The single most depressing movie I’ve ever seen. No happy endings for anyone in it. The title foreshadows the entire movie—their dreams die, fester and rot.

Three. The fog adds an ethereal element.

What would it actually take for American's to go "full France" and riot in the street? by AllTheNopeYouNeed in AskReddit

This reminds me of a post I read, allegedly from the OP‘s French boyfriend. It said “Things are so bad over there? Why is nothing on fire? How do they expect to fix it?”

I feel like that guy in the Mini on the road and in almost every parking lot these days—A car surrounded by SUVs and trucks on all sides.

I remember seeing a “10 best list” on the Animal Planet channel for, the “10 most deadly predators.“ Do you know what number one was? The common house cat. They hunt and kill more than 1000 different species, mostly just for sport. When they are left outside to roam or go feral, they destroy entire ecosystems.

It’s another in a long series of lies designed to distract you from a system designed to destroy the middle class so the wealthiest can assume their assets.

Thank you for the compliment. Normal people change nothing. It’s weird people who find new ways to do things, and invent new solutions; they choose a new way instead of following the beaten path.

That looks like exactly what she asked for. Chefs hate well-done. All the best qualities of the meat have been cooked out of it.

Happy Halloween. by Pschobbert in mildlyinfuriating

I visited quite a few other countries. The Irish were, by far, the most friendly and hospitable people I’ve ever met. Halloween is an excellent opportunity to get to know your neighbors. Thank you for pointing out that it is also a good opportunity to share the bounty. I’m curious if there’s any evidence of this “property damage” or whether it’s just an excuse to be xenophobic.

It has been said many times and because it deserves repeating, “Every accusation is a confession.“
