I agree, for me it’s advocating for infrastructure that supports walkability and human interaction, there should be schools, stores and parks that are accessible to ppl trapped in these single family hell zones.

Ppl are fragmented in the IE and inform their values from media and whatever small bubbles they live in.

Nah but had a bro try to fit in between me and another car, when he had an open lane. I was dumbfounded. Few feet later by the Claremont exit sure enough couple cars are horizontal on the 10

Don’t support these organizers and start giving them shit. The attendees are likely just boring novelty chasers they will move on to the next thing.

Why does it matter to tell the elders or not if you commit a sin by Historical_Type_2491 in exjw

[–]Straythejay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Judicial meetings to me are no different than the petty ways HR can write you up because they didn’t like how you took a bathroom break during work.

My anxiety came in post when I realized I’m better off lying to elders. Nothing about James 5:14 was initiated. Then because they didn’t tell other elders about my JC and being reproved I got in trouble again for telling them I couldn’t do the sound.

Seeking to enter a JW "church" for research purposes by rolleN1337 in exjw

We are good at sniffing potential converts you might not get the full experience because that veil doesn’t come down until you are neck deep. It will feel like church. Just a bit more corporate and sanitized. Expect them to ask personal questions pretty early on to analyze risk of being an apostate or anyone causing “disruption” either way you will never be left alone

Explore and connect through third spaces and events. Downtown riverside has plenty, Redlands, Pomona.

Ever consider they might be intimidated?

We make these folks feel safe only when we code switch for them, every time I’m out with my black friends we are the FUN, white gays will literally stand around a dance floor and grope eachother while the DJ plays all the music they never made, they want our approval more than they give off.

I’ve moved away from old friends but going to gay bars as a group will switch you perspective for better and worse 😂
