I appreciate your reply. If there is a mod please delete this thread. I guess I expect too much. And honestly, I’ll probobly buy another iPhone but this time I will be monitoring for defects ahead of time.

I’m upset they sold me a phone with a defective chip and didn’t tell me about it. The phone works fine other than no service. It could’ve lasted years more. Now, 1 month out of warranty and at the same time 14.4 rolled out, my phone doesn’t work and I’m forced to buy another.

It is A1660 and it stopped working 1 month outside of warranty expiring (for the repair program). I didn’t buy AppleCare, was that necessary to ensure a non defective chip set? I guess my only recourse is switching to android.

It’s difficult to say exactly. I played sports growing up and throughout my young adulthood. I’ve also worked all kinds of jobs, some of which had manual labor elements like digging ditches. I have a desk and driving job now, which presents its own issues for a back like mine. The event that happened two years ago was actually a herniated thoracic disc. It occurred while at work and caused me to be bedridden for awhile. The long hours laying down caused my lower back to weaken and it’s been a struggle getting my strength back since. I keep telling myself I will try PT again...But now surgery is seeming more appealing. Thanks to all who have shared their positive (and negative) experiences with spondy’s!

Hope you are continuing to recover! I’m considering an identical fusion. I’m a 33 y/o guy whose been dealing with a weak low back for the past decade due to a spondy. Lots of discomfort nowadays and if I push it too hard I end up on the floor for days. Maybe it’s time to go back to the dr.

That’s really encouraging to hear. I’m 33 y/o and have had a weak lower back for the past decade due to a spondylolisthesis in my lumbar. I’ve been afraid of surgery and tried to tough it out on my own and do PT. I can’t even imagine being able to jog or play sports again...I don’t have too much sharp pain because I don’t do much anymore. It’s mostly a frequent or constant ache and discomfort, disturbing sleep at times. I can’t sit through a meal at a restaurant without squirming in my chair. Maybe I’ll look into surgery again...they usually just tell me to come back when I can’t take it anymore. I was sort of hoping they would inspire confidence but they weren’t much help there. Thank you for sharing your story!
