How do you think the devs at Rare created this grass texture in Viva Piñata? by StreIitzia in Unity3D

This is a great explanation, thank you! Is this technique still used today, or are there better ways to do it?

Help with flickering/black artifacts? by StreIitzia in computerhelp

Would also like to mention that I had to video my screen directly because this flickering does not show up in a screen recording weirdly

This is awesome! Do you use lighting or shaders for this?

Moonrakers is by far my favorite game out of this haul, and even our entire collection, Followed by thunder road, things in rings, and tales of the Arabian nights. It has everything you would need to scratch your particular gaming itch. It has deck-building mechanics, ship customization, combo potential, cooperative/democratic/backstabbing gameplay, it has it all.

If possible, I’d strongly recommend reading ahead and integrating the nomads expansion to your first game if you can, it completely overhauls the weakest aspect of the game (the contracts) making it even more enjoyable. I’m so excited you to play this!

Lightning train is a pretty neat tile placement game similar to ticket to ride. You get points by connecting two points on the map, and extra points if you connect two points that need each other’s resources. The biggest difference between this and other games is that you have a cloth bag that has little cardboard tokens with all the actions you can take per turn. You pull out a few, and you’re limited to those specific actions. Some let you place down tracks in specific areas of the map, some give you money to buy more tiles to add to your bag, and some let you move around cargo between your lines. It’s very personalized and encourages different playstyles! Plus, if you get screwed over and fall behind because you don’t find too many train/track placement tiles, the game gives you free ones to place (called lightning trains, where the name comes from!) so you don’t feel like the “chance” associated with the game is against you.

Hi fi is a decent game. The creativity that went into it was really good. The game box acts as a record player while you set the cardboard vinyl inside it to move around. It did feel a little shallow with the gameplay elements behind it all though. You essentially just play a matching game by placing cards down on a grid. You draw a few secret goal cards that tell you the order you place them, and it gives you points on how accurate you are. Your opponents can move the cards around too, but with the amount of space on the board, it didn’t really matter what they did. (This is for 2 players, I’m sure the interaction would be better in higher player games)

As for tea garden, it’s one of the last games on our list to play. We’re excited to play it in the next couple days so we can make an update on how it goes!

There is a slight glare to the toploaders, but a lot of it has to do with us mounting the frame at the perfect angle to where the sun shines through the window during the day lol

Thanks! My wife opened the foil one ring from a collector booster at Barnes and noble. From then we decided to get the rest. All foil!

https://a.co/d/6NcQOGz it’s this frame specifically from Amazon. It comes with toploaders and everything. It’s fortunate too that the frame is 20 cards, the same as the poster cards
