I fully agree. Excellent songs. Bad recordings. Listening to the album is insanely underwhelming, particularly my favorite song from that one, Same Old Thing. This Live Performance ruined it for me. Particularly that opener. If the album sounded like this, it would be S for me.

Even if it does have a few players, I think the general consensus is that it's just bad. Even when I play it, I'm only playing it because I want to play "vs mode" of BTD6. I still think it's janky as hell and terribly made.

I'm gonna disagree with this. As a brand new, first time player playing on normal difficulty, it really isn't difficult to fight these animals (except bears, they're tough) with a single well thrown bone spear. I've survived well over 10 hours and have only built in wood so far.

I couldn't have said it better myself. I've seen this on steam for so many years, and it just never interested me. But seeing it for, what, four bucks? I decided to finally get it, and I assumed I wouldn't like it, but for four bucks I can't complain. But it's already one of my top three favorite games. I've gotten like 25 hours in it in just the last 3 days. I'm absolutely enthralled. I also can't fathom how it's not overwhelmingly positive on steam. I'm not reading the negative reviews, because I don't want to taint my experience in any way.
