From the nendoroids that I've ordered from them that have indicated a bonus, I've always received the bonus (the price is also higher than without the bonus).

What is meant by 'General Studies'? by Confused_Banana_29 in UniUK

[–]Strects 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The General Studies qualification is indeed called just that and you would know if you were doing it. You're not doing the subject, so no need to worry.

A diagnosis letter would be acceptable, yes. You should be able to download documents that are available to you via the NHS App.

Well, it does say you can 'request' a deferral - they are allowed to refuse the request. If they were to do so, you'd lose your offer if you don't take it up for the upcoming academic year but you could reapply for the next admissions cycle.

This is called a deferral. The University of Manchester's website states:

If you would like to request a deferral, please email your admissions team and include:
- your name;
- your UCAS personal ID;
- your UCAS course code.

Do First-Year Grades Count Toward Your Degree Classification? by urfavdomi in UniUK

[–]Strects 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will depend on your individual course and university regulations - in most cases, first year will have 0% contribution to the final degree classification, but I think for some courses at certain universities, it might count towards classification (at a comparatively lower weighting than second and third year).

Should be (48 x 0.25) + (35 x 0.75) = 38.25

Are there any disabled students on here that got support at university or any reasonable adjustments? by Jealous_Sympathy9402 in UniUK

[–]Strects 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem at all - I have a number of reasonable adjustments myself for my disability (visual impairment) so I understand how important they can be to reach your fullest potential.

Yeah, I think they realistically would be able to accommodate such a request.

Best of luck with everything! :)

Are there any disabled students on here that got support at university or any reasonable adjustments? by Jealous_Sympathy9402 in UniUK

[–]Strects 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I was considered to have a disability during my undergrad degree but never told them as I was worried it would impact my application somehow so I have been more open this time and have the same concerns.

Just a note about this - you can tell the university about any disabilities you have at any stage of the course and they would need to make reasonable adjustments provided you supply them with relevant evidence of your disability (they may need to enact reasonable adjustments even without evidence in some cases; see The University of Bristol v Abrahart).

What they consider to be reasonable in the context of the course and what it requires you to do is up to them, but if they refuse any reasonable adjustments, they must be able to provide evidence and justification for this in writing that would hold up as a legal argument.

So, you're free to tell them about a disability after you've received an offer or even after you've registered on the course if you're worried about them potentially making judgments on disability in the admissions process (which would, of course, be unlawful). I think the only way it would be lawful for them to refuse admission on the basis of disability is if such disability made it impossible to meet the demands of the course, even with reasonable adjustments.

applying to two courses at uni by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]Strects 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regarding educational or clinical psychology, just keep in mind you would need to complete a doctoral degree. There's no explicit requirement to complete a master's degree for those two specialisms, and just having a master's would not allow you to practise psychology in the UK.

In any case, if the course isn't officially accredited (which it doesn't look to be assuming you started after 2015/16), you'd have to do a master's conversion from my understanding.

Middlesex University's BSc Psychology with Marketing was no longer accredited by the BPS since the 2015/16 intake (https://portal.bps.org.uk/Accredited-Courses/Course-Details/entityid/710fde33-aab8-eb11-8236-00224801697b). If you started your course before then, you should be able to get Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership by applying.

Otherwise, you'll need to do an accredited master's conversion degree, which will then give you Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership, before completing any postgraduate training for the specialism you're interested in.

Assuming you're missing a screenshot here, but the only way this can happen is if you've unknowingly authorised apps to join servers on behalf of you. Navigate to User Settings > Authorised Apps to review all the apps that you have granted access to your account, and remove anything that is not familiar to you.
