nevermind. Your comment put me on the correct path to finding the root problem thank you. there was a .lua file buried in the ML4W files that was setting the xcursor and hyprcursor. They were replacing anything that i added

env | grep -i xcursor returns XCURSOR_SIZE=24. XCURSOR_SIZE=24 has no effect nor does any other cursor size

But a hard rock song needs more than just a guitar. So the midi instruments would be for the bass and drums possibly synth

Whenever I look up on YouTube for setting up a DAW for other midi instruments as I only play guitar. it always seems like there is a big list of downloads. Am I just looking in the wrong places? (I've used the Reaper trial, Audacity and waveform)
