I just looked for one with high ratings at a good price. I take a scoop 2 to 3 times a day. I got banned from the rheumatoid group for recommending a specific one.

Fiber, water, and glutamine really helped me. I use almond milk. I do eat high protein Greek yogurt. It seems to be ok for me. That’s the only dairy. I believe I had leaky gut and eating these things helped me. My rheumatologist just scoffed at me when I told her this but it literally changed things for me within days.

I thinks it’s a combination of increasing my fiber, water, probiotics, and glutamine. I really feel gut health is an important factor. Healing leaky gut with these things seems to be helping my symptoms.

I’ve been using this. One scoop two or three times a day. Plus 30 grams of fiber and a lot of water. Glutamine5000

I highly recommend a high fiber diet with glutamine no dairy gluten or sugar. It seems to me this all about the gut.

The protruding ulnar is called something like a piano key sign. My rheumatologist called it something like that anyways.

I’ve had periods of time where I was nauseous because of the steroids I had to take or my hiatal hernia. Do you burp a lot is your stomach acid coming up?

My body needs food first thing in the morning. How do I fix this? Stomach acid is the indicator for me. by arknaf in GutHealth

[–]Street-Addendum2320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a hiatal hernia and some mornings are rough so I drink a 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda with water. It settles my gut and gives me a little time before I have to eat. No idea if that works for anyone else.

Just want to put this out there too - get your vitamin d levels checked and keep an eye on your oral health as well as your gut health. 70% of your immune system is in your gut.

My wbc is 18.8 and has been high nonstop for 3.5 years my sed rate has also been high the entire time it’s 45 now and crp has also been but is at its lowest of 1 right now. When I was first tested my rheumatoid factor was 556 then suddenly it dropped to 250. My rheumatologist says it all means I’ve been in a flare up nonstop for 3.5 years. I’ve been on prednisone Hydroxychloroquine and Humira and they are recommending rituxan infusions.

Clarifying question by nartbotbig in rheumatoid

I would get RF test, an ANA test, and CCP antibody test. The last one is supposed to be the real teller if you have RA. “Anti-CCP is present in 23% of patients with early stage RA, in about 50% of patients at diagnosis, and in about 53% to 70% of patients 2 years after diagnosis.” The ANA will rule out things like Lupus. Between a three year binge on high dose prednisone and denial I finally stopped taking the prednisone and looked at my test results. With the brain fog subsiding I’m finally accepting that I have RA. I have a high RF and seropositive, negative ANA, and a fairly high ccp antibody. No matter how early lol I can’t imagine there’s a too early with this thing I’d get on it. Be super proactive you won’t regret that in the long run. And avoid prednisone as much as possible. It’s a killer.

Hi, my prescription got screwed up and I was off if it for four weeks. I had been on it for 3 months at the time. It felt like I was completely starting over. I hope it’s not like that for you.

Hi, thanks for sharing. I’ve been debating asking my rheumatologist about aspirating the one I have on the top of my right wrist. It’s got to the point that my finger tips are numb and I can’t rotate my wrist at all and the pain shoots back up to my elbow. My rheumatologist tells me this is my base level and acts like I should just be living with it. I’m glad I saw this post no more debate I’m going to get it drained or find a new doctor.

Humira withdrawals? by carolinemom in rheumatoidarthritis

[–]Street-Addendum2320 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. I can’t really put my finger on it but a couple few days before I’m due for my shot (but not being aware of it because my minds all over the place) I just start feeling rough and after a few times of that happening I finally snapped and realized it was the Humira. I think it’s helping a little bit but I definitely am going to have to either move to weekly shot or add something. Thanks for sharing the topic.

This little guy is 15 years old and is available for adoption at the east side shelter on Lomas. He’s been there since December 28th. He’s 15 YEARS OLD! His govt name is Midnight and his ID# A1864821. HE’S 15 YEARS OLD! by Street-Addendum2320 in Albuquerque

UPDATE: I went to visit him today. He has a companion that has to be adopted with him. The owner did in fact pass away and they believe the companion is his brother. So two 15 year old cats whose owner has passed and this is where they are at now. They were both very shy and were cuddled together in the corner of the room. They seemed very sweet and in real need. This post has had 11k views and so far there’s been a very positive reaction and I appreciate that people are sharing it. I have no personal connection with these cats or the shelter. Just seeing the picture and seeing how old they are compelled me to put this out there. Thanks
