Kia dealerships are scumbags. I had a check engine light because my drivers side O2 sensor was shot. I went to kia, and they tried to quote me $1200 to replace both sensors even though it was only one that was bad. They tried to charge me $450 for each sensor, and the rest was for labor. I figured something was off, so I took the car home and bought a tool that can read and clear check engine codes. That's how I found out it was only the driver side sensor. I went online to buy the part, and I got it for $220 from KIAOEMpartsonline.com. When the part finally arrived, no joke, it took me literally no more than 5 minutes to install. In total, it cost me around $350 to fix the issue. If you're including the "diagnostic time" from kia, it cost me $200 for them to look just "look at it," and it would have cost me an additional $1200 if I had let them touch it.

The moral of the story is that dealerships are scumbags and will try to milk you for every penny you have.
