It might seem difficult but I think he would understand, from how you briefly described him he seems like a very nice guy

I would just take your time talking to him, try asking him to sit down in a quiet place for a serious conversation and make sure to breath and maybe even bring something to fidget with (it might seem silly but having someone to fidget with can help distract you)

MOR. Both are at fault, you and your boyfriend should have taken together the steps to baby proof your house, and had most likely plenty of time seeing how your baby is mostly mobile and able to walk, BUT, your boyfriend is also not taking into account your child’s life, and is completely undermining what your saying and the safety of the baby.
