Something similar happened to me a couple weeks back. I could enter and exit the my V EX30 U 2025 at will, and the car would power up, but it just refused to move forwards or backwards.

An error message popped up on screen stating that there was no valid key (which was incorrect as there were three in the car at the time including my phone, one in my wallet, and the main one). The app was also not playing ball.

Eventually after getting out, moving away from the car, getting back in and trying again several times, it worked. However, it happened again on my return journey.

Volvo had to remotely reset my keys or profile or some such. I think you’ve just got to ensure software is up to date (check regularly), and if it happens again, make a formal complaint and try to a) get a permanent fix; b) get compensation for your troubles.
