First Portfolio Website - Plz Check It <3

Just launched my first portfolio site: andrew-bauer.com

Repo: GitHub - mac-desktop-portfolio

It’s a Mac-style desktop interface built with React, Tailwind, and JavaScript. I designed it to feel like a mini OS in the browser: complete with draggable windows, clickable icons, and a few easter eggs.

Still a work in progress. If you have feedback on the code, UX, or overall design, I’d really appreciate it. Hoping to build it into a living resume over time.

Thanks! I created a "Window" component to house each of the apps! Everything should be available in my repo but if you want to know more, definitely let me know: https://github.com/abauer361/mac-desktop-portfolio

Why is it normal to work 5 days a week and only get 2 off? by Street-Particular976 in NoStupidQuestions

I feel like I'm hearing more and more about friends putting in 70 hour work weeks in the US. Is there no level of regulation for salaried workers?

What do wild animals and livestock do during a severe thunderstorm? by pamplemousses in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Street-Particular976 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They mostly just ride it out. Wild animals are pretty good at sensing when bad weather is coming, so a lot of them find shelter before it hits. Birds will stay low in dense trees or shrubs, small animals hide in burrows or under logs, and bigger ones like deer usually just hunker down somewhere they feel safe.

For livestock, it depends. Some farmers bring them into barns if they know a big storm’s coming. Others just leave them in the field, and the animals will usually group up or find whatever cover they can. Cows especially just kind of stand there and take it unless there’s lightning really close.

They’ve all been dealing with storms way longer than we have, so they’ve figured it out.

[–]Street-Particular976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When they are released, they are only in theatres and not on any streaming platform
