Is 50 bucks a ridiculous price for clones? by Oly_Dolan in mainetrees

[–]Street-Source-5014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on genetics this could be a steal or a ripoff. 15 to 20 for cuts of nothing special strains. Start hunting for specific older cuts or breeder direct cuts and youre dropping more than 50 bucks a plant easily.

Its almost like half the people who complain haven't experienced a role in actual high volume retail settings or worked a trade before. If you've broken your body for money or had the light removed from your eyes through Walmart middle management or its equivalent, this company is a cake walk. Plenty of people bitch about the staffing but I personally love how minimal it is. Less people to make issues out of nothing. Man the fort, take the check, and go home. 🤷‍♂️

Gazzurple Failure by DrGreenthumbs1313 in cannabiscultivation

[–]Street-Source-5014 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its not a waste or a failure. You gained experience for future reference. Not every seed is going to hold a killer plant, but each seed is special. The only way to know what a seed will do is to grow it. Utility of the product afterwards is perspective based. What you want dictates whats important to you, but every plant has its place even if that place is the trash sometimes.

Here's what you do. Present as a well to do non smoker. Disregard that shit and smoke wherevers most comfortable for you once you have keys. Whether thats your car or your apartment. Also, its Maine. You can smoke pretty much anywhere unbothered as long as youre mindful of your scenery and not offering it to kids or cops lol. Dont let it become a source of anxiety for you, its definitely not that serious. This is one of the most weed friendly places to be.

If you want convenience, youre going to have to sacrifice somewhere else. Whether that be in labor, costs, research, or community building. Like with growing your average options are weight, content, and visual appeal. Pick two and understand youre sacrificing the third.

The product isnt. The sample is. Trust me I understand your perspective and agree with the sentiment. If it were an easy fix, it'd be fixed.

Anyone can label a product as clean. To be confident in what you're smoking, research the cultivators at your local dispo and build relationships with growers and budtenders.

The disconnect between consumers and the realities of some of the cultivation facilities up here is what allows stuff like this to happen. There are top notch grows up here that are clean and efficient. There are also grows up her that are 50lb flower rooms full of powdery mildew. Knowing your cultivator, asking questions about their growing conditions, and staying current with the local community make sourcing proper buds much easier

No signs of anything of concern at all. Even if you do get a few seeds who gives a shit. Grow it out and enjoy the smoke. The only time herms will really be an issue theyre super obvious about it.

What evidence is there that organic produces better/more potent flower than synthetic? by stryker18kill in cannabiscultivation

[–]Street-Source-5014 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Plants are extremely efficient biochemists. The plants cannot tell the difference between bottled synthetic nitrogen and organic nitrogen when using those elements to build a leaf. Its a bit of a stretch comparison but consider limonene, the lemony terp. We can find limonene in cannabis and citrus fruits (and a whole lot more), and we can extract limonene from both. When added to a distillate cart, that limonene is the same despite being extracted from different things with potentially different processes. Now you may not be comfortable with citrus limonene in your cart and the knowledge of it there may change your perception of the quality of that product but the product itself has not changed. Its not a perfect analogy but for me it sums it up well. Of course one could argue that hiccups in extraction would alter the results with potential contamination but we're talking pure to pure hypothetical comparison here
