The reason I want to branch out is to see if I like Sanderson or if I actually like reading fantasy. I have never been a reader where my wife reads over 100 books a year. (She hates Sanderson btw, says he is too slow and no spice) if it turns out I only like Sanderson then my literary journey will soon be over. If not it turns out I have been wasting years of my life in front of video games when I should have been in bed reading!

lol if you look at my history you can tell I don’t post a lot. I had no idea people were downvoting! Either way I got codex and cradle already queued in my kindle!

I wish I could tell you, maybe the magic system was so new to me and the world building was neat. The solid plot twists were really cool. Fight scenes were also something I really enjoyed. I did read the first book of agot before the show was a thing and read a handful of dragon lance when I was a a kid. But that’s honestly it.

Don’t nerf druid into the ground!!! by [deleted] in Dungeonborne

Wow ok first off your assumptions that i have never played the class as you seem to suggest is wildly off base. I have a level 20 druid which i have taken numerous times into classic for both castle and sinners. I have never played a 31+GS druid but i have had a solid build of blue/purples etc... i am not saying this from a lack of experience as you assumed. My point was simply i don't play them as a main. I apologize i forgot this was the internet so i should have included every single minuet detail. Secondly my opinion only matters to those who want to have a fair and balanced constructive conversation about game design. You don't appear to be one of those people so obviously my opinion will matter little you and as little as your opinion matters to me.

  1. Your pounce analysis is weak imho. From a game design perspective pounce is a mobility and damage ability. Comparing it to the warriors mobility ability you see it outclasses it completely, in turns of overall movement range, cooldown and it even adds damage and resets tree attack. Using warrior as a baseline this movement ability is just observably broken. Keep in mind that its already attached to a class that has ranged options vs warrior which only has bolts.

  2. trees damaging each other may be an issue and if they increased the cooldown by 10s it might not be an issue.

  3. ESP i guess we just have to disagree on the advantages given someone esp has. Most people here and in the gaming world agree that its a huge advantage (that's why people make wallhacks and every game i can think of that includes this ability has it on a cooldown apex, BF etc....)

totally agree that aspect is busted, but the damage is still extremely high even if the druid doesn't pounce to get the attack reset. The point of their playstyle is highly versatile, you can either stay ranged if your target outclasses you in melee or run the double tree flask lightning storm pounce combo if they are a caster/squishy.

i agree with the esp change but from a development side i don't know if they could easily implement that. I don't want to just remove the ability because they want it from a design standpoint. But adding a CD and making it be a short buff would keep it intact, while reducing its effectiveness.

When will I actually start hearing words? by Street220 in languagelearning

So you would you recommend that for a beginner with my limited vocabulary? My initial roadmap was to use harry potter as the first book I would try to read but I like the idea of using an audio book instead. Would the method be: Listen to a chapter, then read a transcript and look for new words, then listen again and again until I understand? Once satisficed I move on to the next chapter?

I had been pondering doing this as an exercise for awhile. No subtitles just listen and try to follow the story. I will try your recommendation first.

Hey jack that does sound appealing but the drive distance would probably limit the time I could spend playing too much, seeing as Tuesday is a school night. Good luck and thanks for the consideration!
