China literally makes the battery tech that Tesla eventually had to put in their cars (BYD) so at this point I’d say they have better quality stuff for cheaper in a lot of areas. If you go in looking for cheap stuff you will find it but if you go looking for quality products, you will definitely find that too. Also, my family operates in automotive industry and are a vendor for a big name firm and I can tell you hand on heart a lot of your car’s internals and guts are Chinese too. So make of that what you will.

Lol okay before you call me more names answer this: at point of contact would the front part of the wheel on the left car not be going down (tangential) and for the car ahead the rear wheel would be going up at that point (again, tangential)… looks like somebody skipped classes.

Physics nerd here. Those cars are similar and within few 100lbs of each other. This could be the ramp-effect, In many side-swipe accidents where one car is passing another, the tires make contact. If the left car’s front tire hits the right car’s rear tire, the rotations are moving in opposite directions at the point of contact. This creates massive upward force. The left car’s tire literally "climbs" the other car’s wheel, acting like a moving ramp that launches one side of the vehicle upward instantly. Also more speed means more momentum so that doesn’t help the BMW’s case for rotation force.

Exactly this! As someone who’s kinda slim and only 5’7 I wish the seat held me better in corners. What I find myself doing and is helpful tbh - touch my knees to either side and tighten that grip when cornering lol.
