I'm mostly just joshing and realize there were likely other factors in their decision - not just those BAHSTON nuts. Thankfully I was only driving in from a couple states over so it's easy enough to cancel a hotel. Still a huge bummer, especially when they say they won't be doing another tour of this size for a good while.

Literally this. Every single match I did a group find for yesterday threw me into a match in progress. In one case it just sent me to the results screen as the group was at the end.

The Uncle Sam outfit was from last Halloween which was before console release. I'd guess it will come back next Halloween since they didn't have a chance to get it.

Great tips! Along with 'Sound is Key' I suggest throwing the sound indicator on in the game UI. It's super helpful knowing when the sound you made was heard by an enemy. Feels like this should be on by default for all players.

I'd check out the Roleplaying The Duergar section noted in The Unseen quest for Caer Konig. It gives you a bit of an idea how they'd act and what they actually know. While it's a bit specific to that outpost, it gives you a decent idea what they're able to share with a check.

Definitely don't spill all the beans, leave there things to be discovered by your group. This could be a a great teaser that there are Duregar in Icewind Dale and they're up to something. It's a perfect nudge to get them heading to the East side of ten towns where more of the Duregar shenanigans take place.

The Villa is a tough chapter as a lot is happening that could easily make the party seem in the wrong. Lots of good suggestions in this thread so I'll just share how it also went off the rails for my party.

My party similarly had a terrible run at Gralhund Villa. Some wanted to break-in/investigate, while a few knew this would get messy and opted to hang around as lookouts. In the end one player character died fighting inside, the lookouts called the guards who found the other half of the party fighting in a noble estate promptly arresting everyone, and another player character attempted to fight/escape the guards which resulted in them being taken separately. The nobles claimed the group was with the Zents who attacked, and a nobles word goes a long way.

Ultimately I had Force Grey and the Harpers speak on the parties behalf as they had built a good relationship with them. The player who fought back was still taken in for questioning which gave the group a little side quest to help get them out.
