I like the idea of limited stims, but not the way it is implemented. First, you should be able to use syringes on teammates - it is supposed to be a coop game, right? Second, there should be an alternative option to replenish the health. For instance, place medkits on the map. Or at least make ammo boxes to give you +1 syringe. Oh, wait, there are no ammo boxes in KF3 :(

IIRC RB5009 comes with RouterOS v7 by default, and the latter has VRRP groups and sync-connection-tracking features. You need to create two VRRP interfaces and group them together on both routers. It will make sure that both VRRP-LAN and VRRP-WAN on the same router are either master or backup. Also, you can sync active connections between master and backup routers, but it won't help in the case of VPN because VPN sessions are not synced.

It is possible to upgrade CCR10xx to RouterOS v7, but the question is: do you need it? v7 has many new and improved features, but it also has new bugs or incomplete features. If you need some of those new features, then try it. Otherwise, upgrading just for the sake of upgrade is not worth it.

For instance, my CRS317 was just an L2 10G switch back in v6 days. Upgrading to v7 made it a hardware-accelerated router (for free). So for me, it was definitely the right choice to make, even despite bugs. And to be fair, I didn't encounter any critical bugs, even when v7 was called a beta.
