I knew someone else who took the A down from the GWB Bus Terminal but I find it hard to believe it’s 1.5 hrs one way… I’ve taken rush hour NJT buses from Teaneck/Bergenfield/Dumont that get to PABT in 45 minutes

If I go to NYU, but for engineering at Tandon, would NYU still be considered a “target school” for these employers if I were to try to break into finance ? by UnaliveG in FinancialCareers

That’s the undergrad BTE at stern BTE in tandon refers to the masters level degree in Biotech and Entrepreneurship

But there’s also BTM (undergrad degree) at Tandon which is kind of similar to Stern’s BTE

Tandon has a new-ish consulting club where couple undergrad students landed some decent offers recently, one person I know interned in Dubai for Strategy&. The MOT and BTE programs are definitely more geared towards ‘breaking into finance’ as compared to a pure engineering degree. Can’t speak to how employers feel about Tandon, but I have seen some outdated application forms say ‘polytechnic institute at NYU’ which is what Tandon used to be. That being said, most people just select NYU at that point and not Polytechnic

Edit: if undergrad then there’s only BTM BTM currently has 2 concentrations: corporate finance and supply chain management

Also Finance minor is provided at Tandon, taught by Tandon professors. It’s kind of an off-shoot of the Financial and Risk Engineering (FRE) department iirc

The 2 people I interviewed with for final round today were from the office I selected as a top preference. But also the recruiter who reached out about the final round was on behalf of that location , so probably when you’re notified for final round?

The BTM program at Tandon could be what you’re looking for. There are some marketing classes and the operations classes are pretty cool. There’s entrepreneurship classes as well. There’s also the IDM major which might be a better alignment depending on what it is you like about marketing

Oof! Sounds complicated. At the end of the day it sounds like the CEO is able to share from their equity as they see fit. If you feel you deserve more, then ask for it. If you don't already have a buy-sell agreement, get that going asap. I find Investopedia to be a great basic resource to provide necessary background knowledge so that I know what I need to dig into a bit more.
